ah, the sheet mask i *meant* to grab yesterday. 🙂 tonight i’m using @yesto grapefruit brightening vitamin c glow boosting PAPER MASK! 🧻 why all the vitamin c this week? 🍊 i actually placed a order from stylekorean for a new serum i’m hoping to incorporate into my routine. i’m debating on if i prefer it in the AM or PM. vitamin c is the thing i’m using in conjunction with more niacinamide products to take care of old acne scars. as of today i don’t have any active breakouts but i want to keep it up and learn how to not pick and create more scars! 🍋🍋 this mask actually walked the line of tingling and burning too closely. it’s very strong. i believe this sheet was produced before the reformulation and repackaging that removed the warning that literally said “tingling? that means it’s working!” - but after not having an adverse reaction to the unicorn mask yesterday i was willing to give this a go. perhaps i should’ve waited a bit longer before doing another vitamin c mask. tomorrow will definitely be full of gentle nourishment and moisture; NO ACTIVES! . . . . . . . #YesTo #sheetmask #kbeautyblogger #skincareblogger #blackcreatives #newblogger #texas #grapefruit #pasadena #skincare #skincareroutine #pm #evening #floral #blackgirlmagic #me

in this episode of “i swore i bought a sheet mask...” 😂 here’s @yesto brightening vitamin c glow boosting UNICORN 🦄 peel off mask! warning ⚠️ i was warned about this mask but am giving it a go seeing as i already own it. i do not usually advocate for peel-offs! this mask is supposed to be a peel-off BOOSTER and judging by the packaging verbiage, it’s meant to be used in the AM to give skin a long lasting brightness. it smells STRONGLY of grapefruit; parfum does exist in the ingredient list (boo) but higher up than it is grapefruit seed extract (ah). 📝: you can see the texture is gooey as a peel-off usually is and it’s IRIDESCENT. how cute! when thinned out it sheers to a precious pink colour that matches the packaging. my face looks like a giant opal! ⏰: it honestly felt a bit like elmer’s glue on the face (don’t all peel-offs?) but the tingling i felt upon application subsided quickly. unfortunately, this product was at first known to give some a sensation past that called BURNING but i am well versed in the difference. nonetheless i don’t want to subject my skin to the irritation and physicality of a peel-off again anytime soon. but i enjoyed this experience! . . . . . . . #yesto #pasadena #peeloffmask #unicorn #unicornmask #vitaminc #grapefruit #skincare #mask #skincareblogger #newblogger #blackcreatives #iridescent #opal #parabenfree #sls #kbeautyblogger #beautyblog #iamdashingdiva

i heard that the @dollartree had hidden gems in the skincare sections! 👀 checking the ingredients list, i see that fragrance is present and that is the main qualm people seem to with the products. honestly, high end products are still manufactured with fragrance so i’m not ruling anything out because of that. let’s break down each product! . 🥒: the soothing facial mist with cucumber and aloe lightly moisturizes the skin after cleansing, a bath, or a shower. i think i’ll use it under my arms to soothe after a shave! 🧖🏾‍♀️seeing glycerine on the list i could also use it to blend down powder layers in my makeup. 🍉: the hydrating facial toner also features glycerine high on the list so this toner definitely works for layering between products to boost hydration! aptly named then! 🥥🌹: the facial serum should be used after toning, and this looks like the perfect consistency for daytime makeup mixing. it’s a little lighter than an oil but more viscous than water. the ingredients list is short too; just mineral oil, fragrance (boo!), coconut oil, and rosehip! . . . . . . #dollartree #dollartreefinds #skincare #beautyblogger #quarantineroutine #cucumber #watermelon #coconut #blackgirlmagic #blackcreatives #kbeautyaddict #kbeautyblogger #newblogger #bolerobeverlyhills
