List of spots 👇 Places you NEED to visit in the Triglav National Park: 1. Peričnik Waterfall 2. Zelenci Nature Reserve 3. Velika Korita 4. Vršič Pass 5. Lake Jasna Pro tip: You can combine these into a 1-day roadtrip if you have limited time to explore! Even though some of these places are so nice you will want to stay longer hehe Bonus spots: Boka Waterfall, Lake Bohinj, Savica Waterfall, Krn Lake Save this for your trip!
Can you believe we found this place by mistake? 😍 Lago del Predil is located right on the border between Italy and Slovenia. The best way to access it is to drive from Bovec towards the Italian border. You will pass by the Mangart road - which is another really incredible hiking spot in Slovenia! After the border crossing, you will already start seeing the lake. The road is quite scenic. I recommend going to Predil in the early morning to be able to enjoy it before the summer crowds arrive.
Camping in Slovenia 👇 We’ve been getting a lot of questions about camping here in Slovenia, so we decided to put together a few ideas of places to go camping besides the Soča Valley. Now... let me be clear, that’s not to say I don’t recommend camping in Soča. On the contrary, it’s by far my favorite region to explore during the summer, but it is a place we talk about often so I am sure you’ve heard about it! Here are 3 additional ideas of places to go camping: - Savinja region - Kolpa river - Bohinj Lake Which one would you pick?
Read before you visit 👇 The Logar Valley is one of the most magical places in Slovenia, but there are a few things you NEED to know before visiting: - The Logar Valley was recently affected by strong storms that happened in July this summer, which means some part of the valley and some of the hikes are permanently closed - Please respect the signs. I know we all want to travel and explore during the summer, but if the path is closed, it’s because it isn’t safe - To reduce the volume of cars in the valley or if you don’t have your own vehicle, you can use the shuttle bus to the Logar Valley. It works every day during the summer - For updated info, we recommend checking their official page! This valley is one of my favorite areas in Slovenia! Here you can also find really incredible local Slovenian food - make sure you eat at the local farms for fresh produce!
Do you agree? 🤔 Part 1 of these rankings was such a success, that I had to do it again! What did I miss? Follow @mauka.travels for more tips about traveling in Slovenia!

Amazing summer trip from Ljubljana ⛱️ Rovinj is one of the most beautiful cities of the Istrian Peninsula, in our opinion. The Old Town is built in this really cute peninsula, making it look almost like an island when you are coming from afar. If you are heading there this summer, you will see that the area around the Old Town also has some really incredible beaches. Head towards the park Zlatni Rt and you will find a lot of beach options with plenty of natural shade. Have you ever been to Rovinj?
More about the main beaches in Slovenia 👇 Picking the best beach to spend the day is not an easy task.. Here is a breakdown of what you can find on the different beaches in Slovenia: 1. Moon Bay The most beautiful beach by far, but not the most comfortable one. By the end of the morning, there is no natural shade coming in and there is a very narrow space for people to be. I recommend visiting in the early morning 2. Portorož Very large beach, great for kids because the water is shallow with almost no waves. It is very popular so it gets quite busy. Almost no natural shade but there are a lot of sunbeds and bars around. 3. Izola My personal favorite! There is a lot of natural shade by the water. It does get busy as well but I feel that people are more spreaded around the space, which makes it more comfortable! 4. Piran The city itself is one of my favorite places on the seaside but I don’t think it is the best beach for enjoying the day. They have the most incredible sunsets though! Are you coming to Slovenia this summer? ⛱️

Some of my favorite views 😍 You can’t believe how hard it was to pick just a couple of places for this video, since Slovenia has no shortage of magical views. But these are definitely 3 of my favorite places in the country! One thing the three of them have in common is that you can visit them all year round, but the views are much more special in the summer. Have you ever been to any of these? Which one is your favorite?
