☯️ Determined to accept myself for who I am… Rejecting anxiety, worrying about who I think I should be… I'm cool enough. I'm smart enough. I'm brave enough. I am enough. Maybe not enough to fit into others' definitions or boxes… but that's not where I want to live anyway. Wishing you peace and contentment 💫
Not sure if I've mentioned this on Instagram… but I'm obsessed with my fitness 💪🏽😵💫 (leg day today 🦵🏽) I love pushing myself in the gym and getting stronger. I'm currently cutting, so losing 1% body weight per week until summer, at which point I'll start bulking. I'm a geek who appreciates science, studies these topics daily and understands the balance in it all. Here's to achieving our goals 💪🏽
Just wanted to share this clip of me explaining what I do during a client consultation… This is a cool moment in my journey, at a transitional point in my career, getting ready to change the way I do things. I'm thankful to those of you who have been encouraging me and supporting this movement. I'm excited to add value to this community and grow as a creator and leader. I hope I can positively affect lives through my work.
Last weekend, I shot a video that is finally going to tell my story from the very beginning 📖 In 2010, I started my career in music as a songwriter, artist, producer, engineer. I've had many adventures and twists and turns in my journey… including a bonafide tech career. Today I'm proud to bring all of my knowledge and experiences together to support creatives and executives in the music and entertainment industries. I've selected branding and marketing as my means of serving my community, yet there is so much more to me… of which I'll soon begin to share ⏳ Thanks to @VenekoMedia for directing and @TheDoctorDapper supporting this project. Literally my two best friends in this world coming together to help me create this… I am eternally grateful for this life 🙏🏽
Kanye West says he won't release his next album to DSPs… That he'd rather sell directly to fans from his website. Have you ever sold an album directly to a fan? For example, a CD or vinyl. You probably kept most of the income. Imagine if, instead of less than a penny per stream, you made $10-$20 per album every time someone bought it. Now the question is, how many albums could you sell?… I know this is a hot topic and I'm glossing over many other details… (and I'm no economist lol.) Just expressing my thoughts on one aspect of this debate. What do you think?
Success as an independent artist is totally possible, as long as the music connects with its target audience, and the logistics and marketing can be managed efficiently. Of course, today's Kanye has a big head-start, having already amassed a huge audience (plus he's an expert at getting attention.) He still had to build a foundation/team to help him achieve success as an independent artist in this day and age. Kudos to him.
I don't know what the original context of Kanye's clip was… but I wanted to shed light on some publicly available figures as it pertains to Spotify's payouts to artists. What are your thoughts on the matter?
