I like long runs and I cannot lie๐ฅ
Was anyone else terrible at stretching?! ๐๐ปโโ๏ธ It took a while to build this habit but now, I always make sure to do it first thing in the morning, every few hours during the work day, and right before bed. I've incorporated dynamic stretches before runs and passive stretches afterwards. I know it's not so much fun, but it's been keeping my body feeling good! โ๏ธ๐๐ฝโโ๏ธ๐คธ๐ปโโ๏ธ
Our time with our foster dog T-Bone is coming to an end ๐ฅบ๐ T-Bone meets his potential future pawrents tomorrow morning so cross your ๐ค๐ฝ and paws and hope it works out for him. So happy we were able to take him to the beach, learn about his personality, and take care of him while trying to find him the best home. When I asked my dad to run my first 5k (pictured) with me, he was hesitant. He was running 5 miles a day and didnโt see the need to pay for a registration when we could run for free on our regular route. Plus, itโs been years since he registered for a race (he was an avid Bridge to Bridge, Zoo Run and Bay 2 Breakers runner back in the day). Still, he said yes, not wanting to pass up time spent with his only daughter. We had the time of our lives and the rest of the day, my dad couldnโt stop talking about how much fun he had. Coastal miles ๐ Using the Mind Uplifting tool these past few weeks has been encouraging my movement and inspired me to run new routes. Running somewhere new and with a different scenery than your regular routine morning run is always refreshing. ๐ Iโve built my morning routine so it supports my mental health.
