With some family drama, feuds, good old fashioned rivalry and fun. In the likes of Fannie Flagg, this Author hit it out of the ballpark with one entertaining read that I’m sure has parts that can hit pretty close to home for a majority of readers. With some romance thrown in and some tasty fried chicken. Two chicken restaurants with their own families each running it for generations, in the same town can definitely offer up some stiff competition; but it’s even more difficult when one of the owner’s daughters marries the son of the competing fried chicken restaurant. Because that’s where the feud begins. But when there is a competition tv show offering up $100,000 to the winner of thee two competing restaurants with the best tasting chicken, the sisters of each of these competing restaurants sign up for the challenge. Each sister is completely different from the other and sets up for the fun in getting to see the rivalry. But it is also heartening to see the difference on their pasts, upbringing, current lives to how they mother their children. They may find they have more in common than just a rivalry. The tension has you flipping pages and the humor has you smiling ear to ear.
