If I had the opportunity for a photo shoot come up before I was vaccinated, I probably would have turned it down. This is honestly just another plus of me being vaccinated! I mean I’ve done 6 shoots since then and to think it’s protecting me from getting sick while I’m working with clients is comforting. The best part is I can comfortably be without my mask thanks to new guidelines. And it even looks like things in Maryland will be going back to normal as soon as July 1st. I look forward to normalcy, but more than anything, I look forward to being able to work with more of you! Whenever the kids see a park bench they have to stop. You can imagine how many times we stop 🙃... I guess I don’t mind since I’m not running from people anymore lol. I’ve been happy to regain some normalcy in our lives since getting vaccinated. 👉🏾 We’ve seen family and friends more times in the last few weeks than in the last year. 👉🏾 I can comfortably work with clients mask free. (I was happy to hear CDC mask updates for vaccinated people and I will now usually only wear mine out of respect for businesses when indoors.) 👉🏾 We can enjoy being close to family without the paranoia. (Because yes I was extremely paranoid!) That’s what the vaccine has done for me and my family. Usually I’m in front of the camera...⁣ ——⁣ ...lately I’ve been behind it!⁣ ⁣ I’ve done 3 brand photo shoots and 1 maternity shoot as of yesterday 👏🏾👏🏾 and I’m feeling super proud. ⁣ ⁣ A while ago I posted my camera and mentioned it possibly being another stream of income, but I was waiting until I thought I was good to put myself out there. ⁣ ⁣ Then fast forward to working with my first client (@trulyfreefc) for content planning. She didn’t have pictures and I was giving her a deadline so we could have the month planned in advance. So when she couldn’t find a photographer, I took an extra deep breath and said, “Ummm I’ll do it. 🥴”⁣ ⁣ And they turned out so good!! So we immediately booked the 2nd shoot for the following month so I’d have photos to match her copy I was writing. ⁣ ⁣ My 3rd brand shoot was for @connexionclothing and between my nephew (@officialahmir__ )and his friend (@officialkhi__ ), they killed it! Thankful to my bro for trusting me with his brand 🥰. ⁣ ⁣ And as of yesterday, I added a maternity shoot for @syydthekyyd_ to my portfolio! I was a little nervous for this one but they turned out good. So good, that I’ve already been asked to do the newborn shoot ☺️.⁣ ⁣ I’m so excited I decided to jump when I had the chance. It’s been a while since I’ve posted! I’ve been sick and just didn’t want to touch my phone. ⁣ ⁣ Still sick but I wanted to share some tips for content planning!⁣ ⁣ Here they go:⁣ 1️⃣ focus on your pillar categories - always look for inspo here first to ensure you’re staying on topic. These categories are the main things you talk about on your page. For example: lifestyle, motherhood, and homeschool.⁣ ⁣ 2️⃣ always include your story - storytelling gives your audience something to connect to and help to make you and your content personable. ⁣ ⁣ 3️⃣ offer a tip to your audience - you know I talk about giving tips to your audience often and it’s because it helps to keep your content valuable. It gives your audience a reason to come back. ⁣ ⁣ 4️⃣ promote yourself, services, or products - if you’re using IG for business purposes I really hope you’re promoting yourself. You don’t have to be annoying about it, but sharing testimonials from your past clients/customers, sharing BTS of your business, and more are great ways to encourage your audience to make the next move. ⁣ ⁣ 5️⃣ batch your pics + graphics - there’s nothing worse than having a caption idea but not having a picture or graphic to match. Sometimes you don’t have the time to stop and throw a graphic together. So do yourself a favor and batch your visuals ahead of time. ⁣ ⁣ 6️⃣ schedule it out! - schedule out your content and leave it! Boom you’re done. This keeps you consistent in showing up on social media. Then all you have to do is worry about engaging with your audience!!⁣ ⁣ So there are my tips. I hope this was helpful.
