The conversation started off as normal with hellos and such before her tone took a slight shift; “Are you guys are at the Rock Hall yet? the first time I really new how bad Coronavirus was going to effect us; I remember joking with attendees at the event about the virus. I have the amazing opportunity to speak and communicate with people in my community; however watching the live events industry fall apart has been devastating. So to all of my dear friends, colleges, cast members, business owners, family, associates, partners and more –
Some are strange, some are funny, and others I think are expected; but if you’re considering The sober lifestyle, these are a handful of things that you can come to expect and know from my personal journey. I think people hate being the designated driver in the group; when you drink, you don’t have to take responsibility for anything – in reality that’s a lie, but try telling that to your drunk best friend at 3 AM. When you’re drunk I’ve learned that people try just a little bit too hard… they tend to push limits just a little bit too much. And I’m not saying that every drunk person is like this, or that even every occasion is like this, but man not drinking makes me feel like I don’t have anybody to impress.
In that conversation I remember voicing something I had never said out loud before; “I’m a black sheep.” If you’re a black sheep, then be a black sheep; but never just be a sheep. and you try telling this to my brain at 4 am when I’m stressed) that the reason people don’t tell you things is because you’re not as important to know. I’m not saying it’s an excuse, because it’s not.
We are so lucky to have such an exquisite chef in our family! She loves cooking, baking, and celebrating with all of our friends here at SPE! *TRIGGER WARNING* Today I stand with #BLM movement because it is my duty, as a white American, to share and lead others to see why this movements so important. With that, the last week has been hard on me. I am an empath, so I feel EVERYTHING. I’ve been taking breaks in between posts. And let me just say how SAD it is that my story views have gone DOWN. All because I am trying to peacefully educate and pass off information. . Today, I was attacked. It was out of anger from a white Captain America Cosplayer. He said our photo I shared stood for all the WRONG reasons... which... are what exactly? The last time I checked captain America stood for justice. He stood for the American people. He passed his shield for all the RIGHT reasons, and this photo represents that. It represents the The majority taking a seat. It represents a new generation. It represents change. It represents friendship and compassion and love. . The next photo is a screenshot from a marvel group. Warning, it is highly offensive. We in the cosplay community need to do better than this. We need to stand up for our brothers and sisters of color. We need to encourage them to cosplay characters that are white. We need to love them and help them during this time. Please don’t turn your back on this movement. Please don’t shut the door. Take a seat and listen to why this is so important. Please. . If Captain America was here today, both of these brave and wonderful caps would be ashamed at how the black community has been treated. Captain America stands for justice. He stands for all of the change happening in America. He was created out of political reasons, and today he stands as a symbol to guide us into the next generation. Today is a new day. A new dawn. 🦖 @jurassic_jungle_dinos UPDATE 🦖 Meet Natasha! Our baby velociraptor - Dromaeosauridae - Utahraptor ostrommaysi. She was genetically engineered from theropods found in the early Cretaceous Period. She is almost 4 months old! Her Momma is Erika, our 6 year old velociraptor who stands at a shocking 7 1/2 feet tall. Natasha’s favorite food is goat, and she hopes to grow up to be just as big and strong as her mom one day. 💖ANOTHER HAPPY COLOSSALCON MEMORY💖 . ✨ Last year was an insane year. @rachelannamonahan and I ran around like chickens all con, working to get photos. On Friday morning, we had this wonderful shoot with our friends for a small wreck it Ralph group. It was A BLAST.
