I FINALLY feel like myself again. I put animal crossing down for most of the day yesterday, sat in the sunshine, and finally gave in to the nagging feeling to be productive every hour of every day…. it gave me a nice change of perspective and made me feel like I can still be myself in many aspects. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ It got me thinking that maybe I haven’t lost myself in this time… but instead I gained. A lot….⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ So I thought I’d share a few of my favorite things that have come out of quarantine so far. I’d would love it if you shared some of yours with me, too. ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ 1. Animal Crossing came out and I made friends all around the world. ⁣⁣ 2. I rekindled a relationship with my dear siblings via animal crossing and get to interact with them almost daily. ⁣⁣ 3. I've been trying to write this caption all week. I've been trying to express how hard it is to remain authentic on instagram right now when I don't even feel authentic with myself. Who am I in a world that I can't explore new places and squeeze humans I love? Who am I in a world that I have to remain still and sit in emotions? Who am I in a world that doesn't cultivate spontaneity? Who am I in our new reality? ⁣⁣ ⁣⁣ Our world is changing so rapidly and taking the things that make me feel most alive with it. Orlando, my original happy place. A place that always felt like a dreamland to me as a child... and nothing has changed. I know I keep talking about it but I don’t plan to stop anytime soon... This week I had the opportunity to attend #NASAsocial... it genuinely changed my life. Meeting tons of enthusiastic, space fans with vast knowledge was incredible for me. They taught me SO MUCH. Seeing the launch with my own two eyes was the coolest thing in my entire life. But my favorite part was hearing all of your questions and finding answers to them! This week has been a WILD ONE. NASA invited me to cover the SpaceX CRS20 launch this week (more on this later.) The launch had already been delayed once so I decided to play it safe and stick around the area for a few extra days... which was really just an excuse for me to theme park hop in Orlando. I spent Thursday and Friday in Cape Canaveral. You can catch all the highlights and behind the scenes under “NASA” on my page. Sunday I wandered around Sea World with an old friend. I spent yesterday in Epcot drinking around the world with THE Mantha Paige. Today, I’m running around Universal. I learned that theme parks are more magical when you go solo. Headed back to Denver shortly to catch up on sleep and emails... and then it’s off to Nashville! Traveling solo is fun because you NEVER know what you’re gonna get. 😂 I had to ask three separate strangers to take a photo before I got this semi decent one. The first person only got half my body, the second one filtered my photos (?????), and the third got this gem. I tried to take a cute photo of me doing a cartwheel in front of this mural but.... this is what I got instead. 😂 ANYWAY, Denver is a magical dreamland full of all my favorite people, my new friend Besar 🐯, more pretty walls than my heart could ever desire, and pretty little hotels like @brownpalace. San Juan is genuinely the cutest city I’ve ever seen. The way people stroll around dancing with each other is a sight to see. Every single building is a different color. It feels like someone built a town out of my imagination.. haha. If you’ve been following along on my stories then you’re very well aware that I had the most magical time in San Juan…. Despite my airbnb debacle. But, it got me thinking. Solo travel is interesting. The highs are high and the lows are low. For those of you who were lucky enough to have missed it a few days ago, check out my stories highlighted on my page! Regardless, it got me thinking. I get messages all the time that say “HOW do you travel the world solo? I could never DO that.” But you can. You’d probably even handle it better than me. I’m just as human as you. I lost my sh*t that night. I cried that night. I sat in the corner and didn’t know what to do. I couldn’t communicate. I didn’t know where to go. And then I went through the desperate feeling of scrolling through my phone for someone to call. As if they could just teleport through the phone and save me in San Juan. But then I talked myself out of calling every single one. Because the only thing worse than someone not picking up the phone when you need them is the call getting rejected on the second ring. It reminded me how human I am. It also reminded me that even though I’d hop on a plane by myself right now without knowing a destination, I still have a lot of work to do on myself and on this solo travel life I’ve acquired. I wish I didn’t feel so alone. I wish I knew that I was capable enough to sort it out on my own without getting anyone else involved. And I am. Because I did. But not without a few tears and a few rejected calls.

Last weekend I was supposed to go to PUERTO RICO (wasn’t that hard after all, huh?) but ended up in Denver instead. Life’s like that sometimes. Wouldn’t have traded it for the world though.... CANT IMAGINE WHAT MY LIFE WOULD BE LIKE IF I HADNT SEEN THIS SUNSET. It’s been a wild ride so far in 2020. After many many requests, I’m officially launching a (LONG OVERDUE) blog later this week. Keep your eyes out. 😉

This picture sums up how I feel about this weekend! On my way to Denver right now to embark on (a now very) hyped weekend trip that YOU chose… I’ve gotten over a thousand guesses but only two of you have guessed correctly so far! First, I’m headed to party at the #EcoLuxeLounge in LA (FOMO got the best of me. Whoops.) BUT TOMORROW EVENING, I go somewhere I’m super super excited about. I had so much fun in Park City, Utah at Sundance that I got on the plane and realized I never went hunting for a mural. But I still have lots to say so enjoy this mural from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I learned SO MUCH, including a ton about myself (more on this later), a bunch of new festival tricks, and the fact that @shanelle.jarrel and I are an unstoppable duo. From celebrity selfies with Mila Kunis and Gina Rodriguez, to front row seat 13 for the Miss Americana premiere. To finally seeing my girl @chloegilligan24 . To Disney parties and gifting suites. This actually is my first rodeo. Don’t tell anyone. 😉 I decided this year, every weekend I’m just going to buy the cheapest plane ticket I can find and GO. I’m excited for all the adventures this year has in store for me. And daaaaaamn, was Austin a great way to kick it off. Austin reminded me why I travel. Austin reminded me of the way walking side by side skyscrapers makes me feel small, in the best way. Austin reminded me that I feel most alive when I’m skipping around a brand new city. The best part about San Diego? It’s a short drive (or walk!) away from great tacos, wonderful culture, and precious little markets. I took a day trip over to Tijuana, Mexico during my time in California and loved it! The locals amazed me. “AMIGA! AMIGA! AMIGA!” everyone screams while you walk past their business. 😂 Talk about hardworking, hustling people. I was mesmerized by their work ethic. All the small business owners downtown really went out of their way to get you to come look around and went even more so to get a sale. I got a little lost on a side street off of Revolucion and stumbled across the CUTEST marketplace, complete with juice stands, decorations, and a mariachi band! This was the classic Mexico I was waiting for!! • • • ALSO.... just want it to be documented that my taxi driver handed me a photo album with a bunch of random photos of him “crossing the border” and told me to “find him again for a romantic tour.” Any takers? 😂😂😂😂😂😂 (Swipe to see it.
