For too long, I have hid away from going after what I want to do in life, and have hidden in the darkness out of fear of loved ones not being supportive or that I wouldn’t be good or successful at all. Now, I want to let my light shine through my songs and any TV/film/web projects of any kind! In addition, I had a bad recording experience early last year (would rather not discuss it) that subconsciously scared me away from recording any more music. Realistically, there is no way I will be able to fund the album myself (recording is pretty pricey, in general), so I will need to find a way to fund it.

Plus, it’s important to be around people who build you up and respect your boundaries, not people who make you feel stressed out and tear you down. Maybe it’s because I want to see the good in people and think people mean well and want to help, and then, I find out too late those intentions are less-than-honorable. When I was younger, I was afraid to tell people about having Asperger’s because I was afraid I would be ostracized or unfairly labeled. I am so thankful that Aaron is very supportive of my goals and dreams, and I even try to help him with his, because I believe it’s important in a relationship to be supportive of each other’s goals and dreams.
