𝓗𝓪𝓻𝓶𝓸𝓷𝔂 is my word for 2021. It took me a while to figure it out, but it finally came to me. I bring so much anxiety on myself worrying about things I shouldn’t. I have to learn that it’s okay to say no, and that it’s okay to put my own feelings first. I’ve been told time and time again that it comes with age. The not worrying about other people’s opinions. It’s a slow process, but it’s something I’m working on more and more. I have to seek peace, and pursue it. In order to do that, I must seek Jesus 100%. He’s the only one that can bring ｔｒｕｅ ｐｅａｃｅ💛 Did you ever have a word come to mind for this year? I would love to hear about it in the comments!

Do you love when your kiddos are out of school for breaks? I absolutely love having this time with my babies at home! Yes, you read that right. I know, I know.. so many of us wish for the break to be over so we can send them back to school. I feel that, too, at times. But, I truly enjoy having them home. Even through the loud piano constantly playing, the fighting, and the nerf bullets flying.. my heart is full when they are home. Ever since my sweet girl started kindergarten, there’s been a hole in my heart. I worked full time for a short period when Isaac was a baby. It was rough. I was working 12 hour days, walking in the door, holding him, and just bawling my eyes out because I missed him so much. By the time I got pregnant with Avalyn, I was determined to make it work for me to be a SAHM. It was a scary feeling, walking into the unknown. BUT God! He has always, always provided and made a way for us. So, long story short, for the last 5 years I have been with my little people day & night. It was super lonely sending them both off to school! That’s when I decided to really work hard at becoming an influencer. It’s such a creative outlet for me. I enjoy writing, too! (I plan to start a blog very soon!) 😍 So, if you’re still reading, and you see my posts on the regular.. I just want to say a big THANK YOU for always supporting me! I am forever grateful for every like, save, comment, and share. This journey isn’t always easy. A lot of times you just want to give up, because you feel like nobody is watching. I have grown SO much through this journey. I’m looking forward to the new year, and can’t wait to grow even more! Let’s go! 💞

Do you take your Christmas decorations down right away? Or wait until the new year? Y’all, my house is finally back in order from the great Christmas disaster 😂 It’s like I forget about how crazy it gets every year! My sweet hubby helped me pick up the whole house and get everything clean. The kids were excited to watch the new Disney movie, Soul. The little bit I watched was so cute! I can’t wait to watch the whole thing. My diffusers are going with my YL oils and the sun is shining through the windows. If only it was warm outside!

I know it’s Christmas Eve and it’s an exciting time. I do feel excited and can’t wait to see the wonder & excitement on my kiddos faces tomorrow. But, it’s also the day that marks one year without my daddy. It’s so hard to believe it has already been a whole year. A whole year of not hearing him leave me a voicemail starting with “it’s Daddy”. As if I didn’t know it was him, lol. I’m so thankful for all the voicemails I have saved from him. A whole year of my babies not having their Pa. Boy, did he love his grandbabies more than anything. Lord, please let my kids remember him always. Losing a parent is so very hard. Death is a strange thing. My daddy suffered for so long after battling stage 4 throat cancer. His life never was the same after that. He was so unhappy and living such a miserable life. For that, I’m happy knowing he is no longer in pain. Of course I would give anything to have him back here with us, healthy and happy. But I know this life is so temporary. How sweet it is to know that there’s an eternal life waiting for me, and that my daddy is there. And he is happy, whole, and healthy. My sweet friend had this pillow made for me for a Christmas gift. She went out of her way to make sure she got one of his shirts to have it made. It is so very thoughtful. I will cherish it forever, and her friendship💛 If you still have both of your parents, please cherish them and love them. Always hug them and tell them you love them. Don’t let small grudges ruin your relationship with them. One day they will become a memory, so make sure to make good ones.
