🇬🇧 Cheers! We are going on a trip. After almost 2 years of not being able to travel extensively through the big C and the renovations, we are super happy that we can finally take a break. This Saturday we leave for 2 weeks to Northern Italy. Where we will make a road trip through South Tyrol and Trentino. Honestly, we can't wait. For now we are still enjoying the Belgian coast and what better way to do that than with a nice cheese plate and a Portuguese wine from @altanodouro Did you know that you can get this delicious wine in Delhaize?! 🇬🇧 Finally good weather in Belgium. Perfect to plan another trip to the coast before the school year starts again. And then Zeebrugge is the place to be. Not only because of its extensive beach and dunes, but also because of the many culinary hotspots. 🤩 Even though when the weather isn’t that great, there are many things to do in and around Zeebrugge. 🇬🇧Unfortunately no more tropical beaches in the coming months such as the beautiful Cas Abou in Curaçao (unless something unexpected comes my way) But don't worry, because now I’ll be covering some of the Belgian beaches. Now that @maison.botanique is about to open its doors, I want to get to know my neighborhood and surrounding coastal cities a bit better. My first trip is scheduled for this week. A quick getaway for some quality time with a friend. 🇬🇧Would I rather be on an uninhabited island like Klein Curaçao right now? Hell YES! The last few weeks have been so busy. Finishing projects so that I could finally focus on the last things to do in @maison.botanique. Of course that doesn't go as smoothly as expected, but when was chasing dreams ever easy? 🇬🇧Greetings from the Queen Emma bridge AKA swinging old lady in Willemstad. Perhaps one of the most photographed spots on Curaçao. And rightly so, because from this bridge you not only have a great view of the colorful trading quay of Punda, but you are also standing on the only floating wooden swing bridge in the world. When you step on it, it’s a bit like stepping on a boat. So people who get seasick easily, be warned! 😜 🇳🇱Groetjes van op Koningin Emma brug AKA de pondjesbrug in Willemstad. Wellicht één van de meest gefotografeerde plekjes op Curaçao. En terecht, want vanop deze brug heb je niet enkel een geweldig zicht op de kleurrijke handelskade van Punda, maar je staat eveneens op de enige drijvende houten draaibrug ter wereld. Wanneer je erop stapt is het ook net alsof je op een bootje stapt. 🇬🇧It's been a week since I traveled to beautiful Curaçao. In the meantime I received many questions whether traveling to Curaçao is safe. And I have to answer a resounding YES to that. You will be tested before, during and after your stay. You must have the necessary documents and then you are good to go. Besides that, Curaçao is a top vacation destination. The island has so much to offer. You can also take a boat trip to Klein Curaçao where, besides stunning white beaches with clear blue water, you can admire this renovated 19th century lighthouse.
