By understanding the compensation and pay structure ahead of time, you’ll start your career on the right foot. Becoming a Flight Attendant is no different; however, to really understand your compensation, you need to know some of the ways a Flight Attendant may be paid: hourly, per diem, open time, and bonuses. This is solely based on my experience and isn’t meant to cover the compensation structures for every airline. While this video is focused on the hourly pay and commuter expenses, I’ll be posting another video with more specifics on how per diem, open time, and bonuses work as well so stay tuned!
