I’ve come to the realization that I’ve been functionally depressed. My focus was on how life is pressing in vs how life is pushing out and i haven’t been functioning from a place of peace but from a place of unease. It was so many things that were not going as planned on vacation like being stranded on jet skis and my car battery dying lol but knowing I would get through it allowed me to keep a smile the entire time. I want to remember to treat life in the same manner I treated the unexpected on vacation because although life can be unexpected, there are promises from the Lord to rest on❤️ trust me when I say JESUS HAS YOUR BACK.

Almost 21 years young in a couple of days. I’m trying to wrap my mind around what this even means and I summed it up to a land marker to assess the past year of my life. So much has changed in the time span of these last few months and to be honest it has been such an eye opener about myself and the world. I could try to thoroughly explain the changes that occur but I can show you better than I could ever tell you. When we think of ETERNITY we are so young. God has literally been here from the beginning which is why he calls us children. We truly don’t know anything. The only certainty in this lifetime is Gods promises. God is the same yesterday, today, and forever. I’ll be the first one to admit, I don’t know what’s going on truly. I’m literally just going with the flow and staying obedient. I need a nap every day, I love to play games, I get food stuck in my teeth as seen in this picture, I love to laugh and joke, I love to play at the playground, I get food everywhere, I pick my nose, I smell like underarms sometimes, sometimes I don’t brush my teeth until midday, I fall at least once a week, I love princess movies, 9/10 my hair isn’t styled, sometimes my clothes don’t even match, sometimes I need to ask for money and so much more. It doesn’t matter how old you are, we are all big babies to God so have some fun and stop taking life so serious 🙄 I love this picture because instagram got so serious for some reason and everyone wants to be received perfectly. I miss when we used to just post anything and people would interact. Life isn’t that’s serious. You aren’t too old to get into a moonbounce tee hee. REMAINING A SERVANT ALWAYS A question we can ask anywhere: How can I serve in this moment? Every moment won’t be favorable and every person may not have the best intentions. But how can we serve anyways? When we take our minds away from serving, we have the capability to lean into our selfish desires. How can I serve vs. How can I be served. In Genesis 39, God placed Joseph in an environment where he had to serve a master. Joseph’s favor was seen by Potiphar and he entrusted him with everything. Potiphar’s wife seen the favor on Joseph and persistently asked him to have sex with her. Joseph kept his eyes on serving and What God already gave him vs. a selfish desire. “No one here has more authority than I do. He has held back nothing from me except you, because you are his wife. How could I do such a wicked thing? It would be a great sin against God.”” ‭‭Genesis‬ ‭39‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ As Children of God, we have the authority to make everything a blessing for others. We are not here to bless ourselves. “Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭9‬ ‭NLT‬‬ I wonder what would have happened if Joseph fell into the sexual advances. Would God moved Joseph further into a position of worldly authority, being in charge of Egypt, if he couldn’t remember God in a moment that he could have fell into selfish desire.
