📍Route66 Auto Museum Santa Rosa, NM I found Mater and you can too at the Route66 Auto Museum. For a $5 entry fee, you can enjoy a fun museum with classic, vintage, chrome & hot rod cars, all the Route66 charm and a cafe. Definitely a stop in Santa Rosa. Loved all the memorabilia and the cars. Would have loved to drive one home. 🚙🏁 . . . #route #route66 #route66roadtrip #historicroute66 #newmexico #newmexicotrue #traveltips #travelgram #santarosa #thingstodo #thingstosee #travelphotography #instatravel #cars #carsland
📍The Round Up Haslet Had a wonderful time checking out the Round Up on Sunday. Opening weekend and we were very pleased with everything we tried. Tacos, dynamite fries, tea and cookies. Reel coming soon, but for now check out a few photos. I can’t wait to go back and try the coffee from @corgicoffeellc, but the tea was yummy and the breakfast crepes from @crazy_crepes_llc. They have an avocado one I think I might love. . . . #local #foodtruck #foodtruckfood #haslettx #fortworth #trylocal #smallbusiness #thingstodo #thingstosee #visittexas
📍Billy Bob’s Fort Worth, Texas My first time at BB and I have mixed emotions. It was a little overwhelming, but I definitely want to come back. Fun Fact: my 20s were spent two stepping every weekend and it’s been so long. Talked to Danny about maybe going back for dance lessons and then going every once in a while. It was a lot of fun to people watch, but I wanted to dance. 💃🏽 Main reason we went was for the Chris Young concert. My first time seeing Chris and first concert here at this location and it might be my last. If you want to go watch the bull riding or dance it will be worth it, concert…probably not. I loved Chris and he did a great job, but a country concert to me is moving, clapping, cheering, just enjoying it. The options here are either GA standing on the side, which I’ll never do, or sitting at a table. Maybe if we were closer to the stage it would be different, but being in the middle to back is horrible. People order drinks, order food, etc and it’s way too much talking for me. Nobody stood. Just sat in their chairs and I hated it. Have you been before? Curious what your thoughts are.
📍Blue Hole Santa Rosa, NM NO WAY!!! You will not find me in this water or jumping into it. It was so cold just to the touch, I can’t even imagine being in the center of the hole. But it’s a must see if this excites you. Enjoy and tell me how it is. 🤣 . . . #santarosa #route66 #bluehole #historicroute66 #route66official #water #waterslide #thingstodo #thingstosee #travel #explorenewmexico #newmexicotrue #newmexicolife

📍Santa Rosa Pond Santa Rosa, NM Decided on the way back to stop as much as we could on Route 66. The first city was Santa Rosa. While looking for The Blue Hole, we found this park and I loved the view and the ducks. So here are a few photos to enjoy. 🐥 ETA: If you missed it go check my stories. I shared some cool murals I found in ABQ last night. They are amazing. 🫶🏼 . . . #santarosa #newmexico #newmexicotrue #route66 #bluehole #route66roadtrip #historicroute66 #travel #roadtrip #travelphotography #travelling #travelgram #instatravel

📍Champ Donut Company 3556 Highway 114 #402 Fort Worth, TX 76177 Happy Sunday. 🍩 Tried a new donut place in North Fort Worth: Northlake. Cutest shop with very delicious donuts. This might be our new favorite place. Only downside: no coffee. They did have a Keurig style coffee maker, but no specialty coffees at this location or I couldn’t find any on the menu. Website doesn’t really show a full menu, just pictures of the yummy and cool donuts they offer. Maybe I’ll give their boba or smoothie a try next time. 🫶🏼 . . . #sunday #sundaymorning #donuts #donutshop #fortworth #northlake #breakfast #easylikesundaymorning #fwfoodie #sundayvibes

I even added selections from my favorite Christmas movies and I ended the playlist with my favorite New Year’s Eve songs. Surprisingly I did not include country songs although it’s my favorite genre. I’m working on a country Christmas playlist separately so if you are interested in that let me know. I love how some of the tunes mixed together and I had such a blast finding the songs and listening to them.
It’s a tiny city an hour away from Phoenix that was founded as a mining town for the Silver Queen mines. My professor, Sue Tatterson, was new to Arizona, originally from Australia, and had a fascination with abandoned and less desirable locations. In the obsessed age of iPhone photography, a lot of emotions were surfacing and my love of photography came flooding back. For more information on the town of Superior, please check out their website at http://www.superioraz.gov and Ms. Tatterson has recently released several books on the abandoned in Arizona and New Mexico.
