Yesterday, due to the rain we did quite a few indoor activities. We stopped by Tivoli Gardens, but due to the rain we decided that weâd do it on a less rainy day, so we visited the Parliament building that once used to be a palace, went to the National Museum and learned about the history of Denmark and the Vikings, but they also had a very interactive childrenâs museum as well that Madison didnât want to leave, stopped by the LEGO store and jumped on a boat for a canal tour while at picturesque Nyhavn, we rode the train to a mall, had pizza for dinner, and to top it all we made a Danish bear at @buildabear. Yesterday was a very eventful day, and if Madison thinks that yesterday was fun, she has no idea what sheâs in store for today. Press Trip - This past weekend I was a guest of @NewMexicoTrue to experience a once in a lifetime (for me) bucket list item. To ride in a hot air balloon at the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. It was going to be a truly one in a million amazing event, despite the cold weather. While the balloon fiesta was indeed quite an event, unfortunately due to the strong winds I was unable to fly. We were set to go up in the second wave, but had to be grounded. These amazing people in the photo above (my balloon team) were also disappointed that they couldn't go up, but better safe than sorry right? And of course, there's always next year. If you've never visited the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta, it's truly one sight to behold and a must see. It's a 9-day event, and we're talking about hundreds of balloons ascending in the sky. Balloons of different shapes and designs and all right there in New Mexico. Press Trip - Sometimes you really got to take the time to smell the roses, or in this case all the flowers. Costa Rica is home to amazing flora and Madison enjoyed smelling them all. Press Trip - đ¶ Donât go chasing waterfalls đ¶ but how about swimming under or near one? It takes 500 steps to make it to the La Fortuna Waterfall, and another 500 to make it back to the top, but itâs an experience that you should not miss if youâre ever in Costa Rica. Madison at first complained that the water was cold, but after getting in your body acclimates and itâs a really refreshing dip. The kids enjoyed swimming, splashing and watching the fishes swim by.
