A Travel Fail to Remember 🙈 After a delicious feast at the Ferme Auberge de Eva Annibal, we were in search of a cozy place to rest our heads. We thought we had hit the jackpot with a room that promised views of mountains, ocean, and courtyard. But upon arrival, we realized it was too good to be true. Our room had no window and the private bathroom was separated by just a curtain. The only saving grace was the delicious breakfast spread the next morning. An unforgettable evening at Ferme Auberge De Eva Annibal 🍴 Our travels (but mostly our local friends' recommendation) took us to this charming spot and what an unforgettable evening it was! We were sat at a long table surrounded by tens of bottles of homemade rhum arrangé and ponche, and before we knew it, we made friends with the lovely people around us. To our surprise, some of them were from the Var, not far from where we call home. . The food was absolutely divine! The gratin de chouchou was the perfect start to the meal, followed by the cari d'espadon (swordfish curry?), which was simply delicious. But Eva Annibal's famous vanilla duck was the star of the show and we couldn't get enough! And just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were presented with a huge list of desserts to choose from. I went for the passion fruit parfait with vanilla sauce and Mathieu chose the coconut flan. An adventure to remember at Cascade Niagara 💦 We continued our road trip around Reunion Island with a visit to the stunning Cascade Niagara. The journey to get there took us through fields of sugar cane on a road that was barely large enough for a car, but the breathtaking views at the end made every bump worth it. And just when we thought the adventure was over, we had to take an abrupt turn to avoid entering a pond - because of the overgrown sugar cane, we spotted where the road went just at the last minute! This excitement only added to the experience and made it even more memorable. "A happy coincidence on the road 🐾 After seeing the stunning Cascade du Chien from a nearby viewpoint, we received a message from Mathieu's younger sister with wonderful news - she finally got the French bulldog she had been dreaming about for such a long time!
