š·Travel & Expat Blogger Based in The Netherlands sharing daily photos of life & travelling together with my partner as much as possible! š #travel 17 Countries
It is easy to get to with the free public transport, but I recommend you walk there from the city, with a little path up through the valley and the park. Simply walk from the city to the streets where the roads head into the valley, and you will easily find the walkway. Stroll along the rivers edge in the Grund District to the Stierchen Bridge for a pretty Luxembourg city walk. The city is always beautifully decorated with their finest Christmas trees and city lights.
After 1 week of living in Maastricht, located in Province Limburg, I couldnāt wait to already share with you my top sunshine photos and things Iāve noticed compared to living in locations such as Rotterdam and Eindhoven. So I wanted to share many things Iāve noticed that are different to when I lived in Rotterdam and also lived in Eindhoven. It is also still the Netherlands, allowing me to still work-from-home in my country and still keep Dutch health insurance and know how things work in Dutch. Every day weāre enjoying a walk at lunch or after work hours to explore a new street or area, so weāve already seen a good amount.
Since there are so many expats in the country, I have been inspired to write this post based on my own expat experience in Luxembourg compared to the Netherlands ā where I have lived for 9 years previously. However like the title shares, this is compared to the Netherlands (where I have spent at least 9 years living) and Luxembourg where I have been temporary living for 2 months. Living in the Netherlands, you would be living very close to a Do-It-Yourself car wash boxes. Many shops in the Netherlands will actually refuse to accept the 1 cent and 2 cent euro coins as payment on the grounds that they are not used anymore ā which is true.
After writing our Snow In Luxembourg post sharing the snow photos in the Northern Ćisleck region, a snowyĀ capital city postĀ had to be my next follow up! These pretty city scenes of white rooftops and snowfall was taken in January 2021 when I insisted on getting outside with the camera. Check out my other Luxembourg posts Like mentioned at the beginning, if you find yourself in Luxembourg capital city during a wintery season, enjoy it as much as possible! I can highly recommend heading for a walk around the viewpoints, as well as heading down through some of the neighbourhoods to enjoy local winter life.
