That means no unnecessary traveling and no large gatherings which translates to postponed or canceled events. Meaning, to keep people safe many organizations have made the hard decision to cancel, postponed or create virtual adaptations of many courses, shows, sports, events, and even media. Unfortunately, many events have been affected as they comply with health officials’ recommendations that all large gatherings of people be canceled, postponed or close to the public. Though I’m not able to cover every single event worldwide I was able to compile an extensive list below and will be doing my best to stay on top of tracking those affected events.

2019 was heavily promoted and advertised as a drink inclusive, glow stick, neon paint fete with music trucks playing the best of the best carnival Saturday morning. Continued to the station for glow sticks and paint both of which ran out by 5.30a, within an hour everything was gone. The energy never picked up, glow sticks ran out, cups ran out, paint ran out I NEVER got paint or water on me. Several of my friends stayed behind to try and get their monies worth and the other half of us left to try and make it back in time before the hotel breakfast time was over.

This year I opted for concierge pickup/drop off services instead of heading in myself, so sadly I have no personal review on costume pick up. However, last year I made all payments in full before arriving in Trinidad and my pick up took all of 10 minutes. While other masqueraders from other bands were posting about fans, sneakers, and coolers I saw almost no excitement about Yuma’s goodie bag. My bag was filled with a branded cup, of course, a juice box, spices, toothpaste, toilet paper, and discount codes.
