North Stradbroke Island (Minjerribah) lies within Moreton Bay in the Australian state of Queensland, 30 kilometres (19 mi) At 275.2 square kilometres (106.3 sq mi), it is the second largest sand island in the world – Tourism is a major and growing industry and the island has been the site for sand mining for more than sixty years, which is its second most important industry but currently at threat. In Summer visitors from Brisbane and increasingly other locations, flock to Straddie for its idyllic beach life and laid back vibe.
Morocco is separated into 5 zones – the Rif Mountains, the Middle Atlas, High Atlas, Anti-Atlas, and the Sahara desert. Internal flights largely route through Casablanca which can mean a long days travel for a relatively short trip. The lack of internal flights to Fez meant we had to forfeit Essaouira for another time, although we are now keen to incorporate that in a whole other trip exploring the coastline, possible from Portugal and/or Gibraltar. Most people go there purely to see Rick’s Bar out of the movie, Casablanca or the Hassan II Mosque, a breathtaking religious monument and place of worship that towers over the city.

These Queensland wineries not only offer some great wines but often some indulgent extras, like fabulous restaurants and gorgeous views. If you’re visiting Brisbane and looking to find out what all the fuss is about, you won’t need to go far. There are now several wineries that are within a short drive of the city, making them perfect for a day trip or perhaps a leisurely afternoon.
The region has eighty percent of all the mineral springs in Victoria which were formed around 5 million years ago. During the gold rush many European people settled in the area so many of the historic buildings have a distinct European influence. The towns of Daylesford, Hepburn and Hepburn Springs were created from four areas named Old Racecourse, Spring Creek, Daylesford and Wombat Flat. The population for Hepburn Springs and Daylesford is normally about 3600 but that number can double or even triple on weekends.
