Over the years I’ve discovered that there’s a simpler way, a sustainable way, and a far more impactful way to change habits and mindset. And guess what, once you know how to create an impactful small step you can create them for basically any goal or area of your life! If your small step isn’t stackable, no worries, simply create another reminder for your small step. Small sustainable steps will create long-term, consistent habits and change that will get you to your goal a lot faster than drastic, unrealistic expectations and change.
I know, I know… it sounds like a little thing with a BIG impossible promise and yes, it is a little thing I thought it was basically a nonsensical waste of time and just the thought of doing them made me feel like a 4-year-old who needs a nap, is being made to take a nap, but most definitely doesn’t want a nap. if you don’t truly believe that you’re worthy, you’re already enough, and you deserve the transformation you’re looking for you wo Don’t wait to celebrate your wins, do it daily by validating yourself, praising yourself, and brining awareness to the incredible accomplishments you’ve achieved that day.

You Can Only Control Yourself! I’m going to be REALLY honest here and tell you that I didn’t like this at all ❗❗ Turns out it’s pretty easy to distract yourself with trying to control others...and then you also have the ability to blame them when things go wrong or you’re unhappy! 💭But your thoughts and feelings are your own and you can take charge of them. That doesn’t mean you have 100% control 100% of the time. And it doesn’t mean that you never experience anything unpleasant. 🎵 Music has the unique ability to change our mood quickly and easily. Creating a playlist that uplifts or motivates you is an easy way to create on-demand joy! I have 2 different playlists, one that’s upbeat and likely to inspire a dance party and one that’s mellow and would best accompany a warm bath or yoga session. The one I choose to create joy depends on the mood I’m starting with. If I’m feeling blue, I might want the dance music, but if I’m anxious or overwhelmed the soothing music is better. What music do you put on to create on-demand joy?
🗓 I remember the day I stumbled across affirmations. I was watching a documentary about food and ready to implement some healthy dietary changes. Sitting there, pen in hand, ready to write down the first step in the dietary plan… I was actually OUTRAGED when the expert said the first step was to write down, “I love you unconditionally right now!” and put it in your mirror. I really wanted to avoid this portion and begin with another healthy meal plan, but I finally started to talk to people about it... My close friend practices meditation and manifesting, so I went to her first. I spoke to my therapist. And then I talked to my husband about it. He’s usually my go-to first person, but this embarrassed me and I had a difficult time sharing it with him. EVERYONE universally agreed that I needed to do this! 💪 You see, these people all think I’m amazing. And they weren’t completely in the dark about my lack of belief in this area. It was a struggle at first… Some days, I would start to cry reciting my affirmations. Other days, I’d just roll my eyes and plow through them. BUT, I did it anyway! 🔥 Low and behold, something happened! I began to change. I actually started to believe that I was lovable and worthy and SO much more! I was having unfamiliar thoughts like “you’re so beautiful and strong, you deserve to be nurtured and cared for.” ✨ Incredible things started to shift in my life. My relationships even began to change. ✨ I grew. I found joy, peace, and happiness. And, I found it within myself!
