Protein Builds Your Pelvic Floor Iin order to build muscle we need to right building blocks. Protein is made up of amino acids that are those building blocks. Just like we need to consume adequate amounts of good quality protein to build our legs or arms, we can’t forget about the pelvic floor. The pelvic floor is made up of muscle and those same building blocks can help ensure we have what we need to build an maintain our pelvic floor muscles while buffing our muffs! 5 Signs That Your Pelvic Floor Is Too Tight‼️ There are many signs but 5 of the most common are Painful intercourse, constipation, difficulty starting the flow of urine, leaking urine and pelvic organ prolapse. People who are leaking pee and/or have prolapse are often surprised to learn that tightness may be their problem. We think that if we have those symptoms it must mean we have loose weak muscles but tight does not equal strong. Tight muscles are weak muscles. They are not able to respond at the right time with the right amount of force to manage pressures in our core. So I always recommend everyone work on pelvic floor release exercises because the majority of people have more tension then would be considered optimal. That doesn’t mean you only need to release....you also need to strengthen because remember what I said....a tight muscle is a weak muscle. Release tension first...then build strength and endurance by adding the core breath to whole body movement. You can learn more in my holistic pelvic floor fitness program The Buff Muff Method. I Get This Question A Lot! Long story short, buff muff exercises are for everyone! Even if you have had a hysterectomy, even if you have had incontinence or prolapse surgery, even if you have been told that surgery is your only hope, even if you are 85, even if you have given birth 11 times, even if you have no symptoms. If you have a vagina then buff muff exercises are for you and if you have a penis then you can apply the same principles to buff your balls ;-) #buffmuff #buffmuffmethod #pelvicfloorfitness #pelvicfloorexercise
What are the best devices for your pelvic floor in 2024? I’ve been coaching women and helping them with their Pelvic floor for almost 20 years now... And the advancements in technology are incredible but what I’ve found to be the most effective for women with incontinence, too much tension or pelvic organ prolapse symptoms is... YOU! Your amazing body! Your brain! Your muscles, your nervous system.. While all the advancements in technology are exciting and they are fun, and can play a role in optimizing our pelvic health... My recommended first line of defence, and most effective recommendation is always pelvic floor exercise. To be successful with many of the devices YOU need to know how to activate and relax your pelvic floor, or else the devices won’t work... so before you invest in a device, take that money and invest in seeing a pelvic floor physiotherapist, and getting consistent with buff muff exercises. Doing these 2 things will be more effective, and save you money and time and give you longer lasting results... To the point where you may not need even want a device... My Buff Muff method is transforming lives across the globe and I would love to add you to the list of success stories! Women are cancelling surgeries, exercising again, sleeping through the night and participating in life without the worry and dread all because they chose to invest in themselves and learn the buff muff method. http://www.buffmuff.com #buffmuff #pelvicfloor #pelvichealth

Do You Leak Gas or Stool? Most of us hear ads and know about urinary incontinence but not as much about anal incontinence. When gas or stool leak out of us when we don’t want to be eliminating it, that is anal incontinence. The same principles of overcoming urinary incontinence apply to anal incontinence like removing irritants, staying hydrated, optimizing digestion so you poop well, see a pelvic floor physiotherapist for an evaluation to see if there is anything physiologically or biomechanically contributing. Do daily buff muff exercises, pay attention to your posture and work on bowel training. All of this is covered in my Buff Muff Method - come join us! http://www.buffmuff.com #analincontinence #buffmuff

Shannon Berrow, RMT is now offering video support sessions, free of charge, for her existing patients. Without the ability to see patients in person, BC RMT’s have no way of offering services (unlike say Physiotherapists who are able to offer “telehealth” services). However, I feel it is important to offer my patients continued care. So, to support you through this time, I am offering FREE 20-minute support sessions via video call.
