Zion National Park was the first national park I ever saw, and I was blown away! Out and Back Hickman Bridge is another great arch hike in Capitol Reef National Park that was easy and short. I had never heard of Park Avenue until I saw it on the Arches National Park map and decided to check it out. This state park is located near Canyonlands National Park and should be on your to-do list when exploring near Moab.
I visited Canyonlands National Park years ago to explore the Needles District. Below is an awesome list of the best hikes in Canyonlands National Park. After staying in Moab for a week and exploring this awesome park, I have come up with a list of the best hikes in Arches National Park. It is pretty easy, and you don’t need hiking boots or shoes to see the Landscape Arch. You don’t have to stop at the viewpoint, though; you can definitely explore around this area and discover other cool stuff like Ribbon Arch, Cove Arch, and Elephant Butte. Just got back from my Thanksgiving trip in Sedona! We woke up on Friday to a winter wonderland and we opted outside! So beautiful! We hiked Soldier Pass, Cathedrial Rock, Bell Rock, Bear Mountain, and airport loop. I was supposed to do devils bridge for sunrise but we were just too exhausted. My number one tip for winter hiking is to get some really good winter hiking boots! Seriously my boots saved me. There was soooooo much mud and snow. Combined together it was such a slushy mess. I luckily had my new insulated Oboz and they kept my feet warm and dry.⠀ ⠀ Using regular hiking shoes for winter hiking might make you feel a bit uncomfortable. I know because I have felt it before. They don't really keep your feet warm and most winter boots use winterized rubber for grip. The rubber is specially made to not harden at low temperatures compared to the regular summer hiking boots. So walking around was super easy.
