Would you sleep here right next to the wild animals of South Africa? 🤠 Anzeige⁣ ⁣ Okay to be fair, our lodge at @jacislodges actually had two other beds, but this corner looked so cozy with bed sheets that we had to set up this shot 😅 SWIPE to see a quick room tour of the amazing lodge we had!⁣ We did sleep outside on the roof‘s star bed that night and learned that elephants actually come very close to the terrace at night to drink from the little water hole, making quite scary noises... When we were on Safari in March this year, we already started making plans for 2021 and how we‘d discover other African countries and their astounding wild life experiences. For instance, we had set our eyes on Rwanda to get close to gorillas 🦍😱⁣ ⁣ Unfortunately, it seems unlikely that the strict travel restrictions will be lifted so we’re quite unsure where we will be this winter. Even though you’re cozy and safe inside, you almost feel like you’re in the wilderness. Plus, the wild animals could actually come visit and drink from the salt water pool, it was so amazing! Need a little bucket list inspiration? How about a walking safari 🦏 This was our first time actually leaving the safe vehicle and actually walking into the bush, accompanied by two rangers. One was even armed to take last resort measures in case a situation would get dangerous 💥⁣ ⁣ And you know what happened? We actually stumbled upon a few wild rhinos and approached them by foot. Swipe to see a video of these moments, it was really intense 😱 We were not allowed to speak or make any noise whatsoever.
