Happy belated Tears of the Kingdom release day! I spent all day yesterday doing errands, and...I only got to play for a few hours. But for the first hour itself, I had already died 3x because I was a little careless. 😅 Today I'll probably be playing for a few more hours or so too. Hoping to get off the tutorial area soon! POV: You're hearing Effy say "AAKUNAITSU / ARKNIGHTS!" when you start up the game. 🐐 ...I haven't touched Arknights in weeks, in fact I haven't touched most of my games since I was traveling and came back. 😅 Admittedly, I got back into the game pretty briefly earlier this year, but I've had such a hard time trying to juggle between some of my games without feeling the burnout. I will always love the Arknights aesthetic though. Speaking of aesthetics and fashion, I'm in a dire need to clean out my closet and drawers so I can make more room for some more clothes. I went on a mini clothing shopping spree in Japan (bless the weak JPY!) and I can barely squeeze them all into my closet. 💀 I think I've developed a bad habit of just keeping a lot of things I don't need, clothing or anything else, and I don't really purge my belongings enough... Do you purge your closet or home of things that are unused or unnecessary? Hi all! If it hasn't been evident in my stories, I've been traveling with my partner in Japan over the past week or so, and we've been having a blast! It's been a lot more crowded than we anticipated, but the cherry blossoms and sights have been beautiful. We'll be back in the states next week and by then, I should have enough motivation to jump back into working on my cosplays for this year. Hope everyone's having a good March!

COAF is this upcoming weekend...and while I'm really sad I won't be there this year, I'm looking forward to flying out to Japan next week! I'll be taking photos and updating my stories whenever possible if you want to revel in the experience with us. It's been 5 years since I last went, so I'm sure a lot of things have changed since. I was doing a lot of reflecting last night while I was in bed (in all honest, probably the worst place and timing since I was trying to sleep LOL 😂), and I realized that I may be overly ambitious with projects sometimes. I've got a handful of crafting projects I'm trying to do, a couple of which are cosplay...the rest are knitting/crocheting/other crafting stuff. But it's not a bad thing, is it? This beats my lack of motivation across the past couple of years, I'd say. One cosplay is one I'm bringing back from my original plans for Fanime 2020. It's kind of a meme cosplay, but it's one that gives me joy in a silly sort of way. I'm hoping to get this one done by Fan Expo Denver, or if there's another con in between mid April and FE Denver. Another cosplay is one that I've been really wanting to work on since I've had my eyes on her in early 2020. Shiva Ryne/the raid boss from Eden's Refulgence (E8 for all you FFXIV players) is something that I just started finally working on a few weeks ago. 😅 Not gonna lie, I've been very intimidated to start for the past several months, but I think with Fanfest finally announcing their ticket sales for NA, I bit the bullet. If I also don't get in, it's not the end of the world. I'll more than likely enjoy the crafting process and hopefully not suffer too much wearing everything. Do you consider yourself to be overly ambitious sometimes, with tasks or any projects? Happy Tuesday! Today is the first time in a long time where I've woken up and felt *okay* about working in the morning, which is saying a lot given how I've been feeling the past several months about work. Sometimes, it's the little things that can really brighten or darken someone's day, especially when it's the first thing that they experience when waking up. To continue keeping myself afloat outside of cosplay and work too, I've picked up knitting again and started to learn how to crochet. My free time to do these have been a little limited this past week or two, but I do savor the moments where I can get lost in thought and enjoy the yarn crafts. Am I getting old? 😂 Have you all picked up something for the new year, like a new hobby or habit? Any fitness goals? Or even something simple as going to bed by a specific time to feel better rested? I wanted to make this post earlier in the week...but within the first 24 hours I got back home, many things happened that needed my attention. 💀 Anyway, Anime Los Angeles was a great con to start off the new year. I'm so happy I was able to go this time. Unfortunately I didn't really have as much energy to stay in cosplay this con, but I had a really great time even if I felt like an old fart. I also really enjoyed being able to really participate in the ribbon culture this time! My previous ALA in 2020 was my first, and while I liked being able to collect ribbons both this year and last time, it's a whole different experience when you're able to give out your own ribbons as well. Thanks to everyone that stopped me in the halls and talked to me! Unfortunately my next con probably won't be until late June/early July for Fan Expo Denver. Fanime may be out of the cards for me since I got into a car accident (I'm okay though aside from being shaken up!) and I'll be going back to Japan in March with the boyfriend. I think this should give me plenty of time to recharge and work on cosplays in between now and July.
