Evan Lewandowski, a Wisconsin native, is a 2015 alumnus of UW-Parkside where he competed in Cross Country/Track & Field. As an athlete, Evan was a two-time Cross Country NCAA Division II All-American, of which was the first in UW-Parkside history at the Division II level and his finish of 13th place sits as the highest finish by a Ranger at the championships. Prior to being named as Parkside’s Graduate Assistant Coach, Evan began his coaching experience after graduation as a Volunteer Assistant and Interim Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at UW-Parkside in 2016. During his brief stint as the Interim Head Coach, Lewandowski coached one All-American in the Women’s Indoor Mile. On top of being a graduate assistant coach, Evan is currently pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree.

Evan Lewandowski founded Zenith Running Company in 2019 after becoming a UESCA, (United Endurance Sports Coaching Academy), a certified running coach. It is his goal to provide personalized training plans whether that be through in-person coaching, online one-on-one coaching or developing a one-time basic running plan. Whether you are looking to find a local running coach or the best online running coach, every option is shaped to meet your current fitness, life schedule, and guide you towards your goals.

Based out of Mount Pleasant, WI, I fell in love with running from the first moment I picked it up in middle school as "something to do" with a couple of friends. Shortly after running turned into a passion and I competed at a high level through college to present day running at the semi-pro level. I love being healthy and developing proper techniques to ensure I am running efficiently to get the most out of my training while staying healthy. I’m extremely passionate about the process and ready to help my clients develop or improve theirs to reach their goals. I know that what might work for one person won't necessarily work for another, so I aim to individualize each training plan to meet the specific needs of each runner.

| Training Tip | As you’ve heard before, consistency compounds. And consistency is the name of the game for both improving as a runner and ensuring you stay healthy in the process! Staying consistent comes down to having the desire to get the most out of your training. What will set you apart isn't the running, it's what you do the other 22-23 hours to help reach your goals. Supplementing your training with little things consistently can help you reach your goals quicker by warming up your body properly before the run, strengthening stabilizer muscles, becoming more efficient, and more. Taking it one week at a time and falling in love with the process. 5 weeks out from a rust buster half marathon and the first race in 1.5 years, come April. It’s been a long wait for races to finally start popping up again. But that time has only allowed me to improve my weaknesses and build on my strengths! Today was 30 degrees colder than Saturday. It would have been easy to let focusing on that negative, instead of the day's goal, ruin the run. While the cold still sucked, the run went well with a positive mindset. A lot of reaching your goals comes down to your mindset and staying strong mentally. Don't let what you can't control affect you, because you won't be able to control the weather come race day! Training Tip Tuesday ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Know & listen to your body! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Although I am a proponent of pushing limits to see what I or my athletes are capable of, there is a difference between good pain and bad pain that’ll lead to injury.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ As runners we can get in our own head about hitting a certain pace, mileage, and/or missing a run.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But more times than not, the benefits lost from missing two easy run days are far less than the alternative of potential long-term injury that would result from pushing through the bad pain. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #marathontraining #halfmarathontraining #runningcoach #runnersofinstagram #injuryprevention

In order to reach your goals, there needs to be consistency in what you do. No big goals are achieved over night. . But being consistent shouldn’t just refer to your training plan. . Instead you should be consistent in as many of the “little things” outside of your as you have time for.
