    Tamarindo Del Mar is currently open from 4-10pm daily at 1555 Camino Del Mar, Suites 116-117, in San Diego's North County community of After shuttering the original North Park location last spring, Tamarindo Latin Kitchen & Bar has unveiled its sprawling 4,000 square foot bar & restaurant on the base floor of Del Mar Plaza. Tamarindo Latin Kitchen was founded by Moose Restaurant Group , which currently owns and operates Fred Mexican Cafe locations in San Diego's Old Town, Huntington Beach, Kihei Hawaii, and two Moose’s Pub & Cafés in Hawaii. The restaurant's menu offers a variety of classic Mexican dishes like rolled tacos, quesadillas, carne asada, tacos, salads, soups and sandwiches, as well as more creative signature offerings like carne asada yucca fies, a seafood-filled molcajete, and Oaxacan fig chicken mole.

    Mini Golf Course & Cocktail Bar Coming To San Diego's Liberty Station

    The property features a 9-hole golf course, a driving range and a bar & grill that was managed by San Diego hospitality company Good Time Design from 2014 until January 2020 when You & Yours Distilling Company founders Laura Johnson and Lukey Mahoney took over operations. With the end of its management lease over Loma Club, Good Time Design continued to have a presence in Liberty Station by taking over the space last occupied by Fireside By The Patio space to open The Presley and also recently secured a lease on the former El Jardin building for a new Mexican restaurant. Laura Johnson and Luke Mahoney, who are both residents of Point Loma, will break ground next month to build an 18-hole, family-friendly mini-golf course dubbed Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails. The operator's of The Loma Club in San Diego's Liberty Station will soon begin construction to add an 18-hole miniature golf course to the property as they rebrand the concept to become Tappers Mini Golf & Cocktails at The Loma Club

    San Diego's Border X Brewing Adds Chef-Driven, Wood-Fire Mexican Restaurant En Familia Cocina De Campo

    Partners David Favela, his brother Marcelino and his sons, Martin and Ivan opened the original Border X Brewing in San Diego's historic Barrio Logan community in 2014. Just this week, the brewery replaced onsite eatery Tury's Tacos with En Familia Cocina De Campo, although Chef Tury remains an integral part of the kitchen. En Familia Cocina De Campo offers a Valle de Guadalupe-style menu of modern Mexican fare cooked over open flame on a custom Santa Maria grill. Chef Jaime Chavez, who previously led the kitchen at now-closed Sirena Cocina Latina in San Diego's Little Italy, is also helping man the grill after a couple years hiatus from America's Finest City.
