Splendid Spoon: Healthy Meal Delivery Review!

I’ve been enjoying meal delivery services since my Multiple Sclerosis related fatigue made it too difficult for me to cook nourishing meals for myself at the end of the day so I’ve tried quite a few. Having healthy nutritious food delivered to me directly has been a life-saver on my high pain days and even on average days, especially now because of the Covid19 Pandemic. With over 50 ready-to-eat meals, you don’t have to stress about meal planning, grocery shopping, or cooking a meal with just five minutes between zoom meetings while working from home. My hope is that our ready-to-eat, plant-based meal plans will help you reconnect to the power of good food, whatever your health goals may be.

Getting Started with Meditation as a Healthy Coping Tool

You’ve probably heard about the health benefits of yoga in improving mental and physical health, and in improving flexibility. It is much more than sitting and concentrating in a quiet area for a designated amount of time; it involves calming your mind of all thoughts, achieving a deep inward peace, and maintaining attention and alertness in the process. On Your Body Meditation makes the body less responsive to stress hormones, which lowers blood pressure, improves blood circulation, improves digestion and immunity, and establishes emotional and neurological “balance. Stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenalin increase blood pressure and heart rate, while “feel good” chemicals, such as serotonin, (which are released in a state of relaxation), work to repair cells.

Stop Stressing & Start Growing on Instagram!

Thankfully, Tailwind takes the stress out of what to post on your social media with its awesome new features. Plus, the new color-coded plan in your 9-grid makes it super simple to stay consistent, simply drag and drop your posts into each slot. Of course, another benefit of using Tailwind is the ability to optimize each post to stand out with SmartSchedule & Hashtag Finder, which have helped me grow my IG account considerably over the past year. #datanerd Please note that these are my personal results and results aren't guaranteed, but Tailwind also publishes the Typical Results of Tailwind Members every year, so you can see exactly what the average growth rate looks like for their members here.

Mental Health & Chronic Illness: Why It's Critical We Discuss them TOGETHER.

While I’ve mentioned it, I don’t think that mental health, including depression and anxiety (two conditions I have), are talked about enough in today’s society. According to Mental Health America, “For those dealing with a chronic health condition and the people who care for them, it can be especially important to focus on mental health. I do think you can find joy in life with chronic illness and that includes mental health conditions too. And of course, I know that I feel much better, mentally, and physically, when I’ve had a good night’s sleep.

4 Strategies for Living Well with Chronic Fatigue

Personally, I’ve worked with a nutritionist and found a healthy balance of eating foods that taste good and help me to feel good too. Everyone is different, of course, but for me having healthy prepared meals ready to eat makes a huge difference in my overall energy level. I’ve tried a whole lot of meal prep and prepared meal options and CookUnity (only available in Northeast area), Freshly and Daily Harvest are my favorites. If you’re dealing with chronic fatigue, as I do, then you know that you never know how much energy you’ll have each day.

Gift Ideas (you can buy online) for all of the ladies in your life!

If you or your loved one suffer from chronic pain and find relief from CBD infused products, I personally enjoy using the Rose Botanicals lotion and bath bombs. My favorite jewelry store is actually a small business based out of Las Vegas and owned by good family friends. These are a few of my top picks right now: Shop SilverPost here and use code FAMILY30 for 30% off your order… plus if you’re shopping for a mom with kids, I highly recommend grabbing one of their fun new science kits too. By You is a small business I love because they make it super simple and fun to make a sentimental gift that your loved one will actually enjoy.

Strategies for Being More Productive When You Work From Home

If your family/partner/spouse isn’t supportive of your work from home job and requirements then you’re going to find it to be far more difficult. Self-care isn’t selfish, it’s critical, especially if you’re dealing with a chronic illness. Yes, I run a social media marketing business, but I still consciously limit my time on Facebook, Instagram, etc. If you can’t seem to stay focused then try using a tool to limit your screen time or social media time.

What's Life Like with Chronic Illness? Lessons from The COVID-19 Outbreak

If you’re interested in truly understanding some of the struggles the millions of people living with chronic illness battle each day, sadly, you may be unknowingly experiencing some of them now as a healthy person. Because Something You Were Looking Forward to was Cancelled Having things that you’ve been planning to attend be canceled after putting time, money and energy into preparing for months in advance freakin’ sucks. Plus, social media has helped me connect with new friends who understand what I’m going through with chronic illness. No, it’s not the same as being in-person, yet if there’s one thing I’ve learned about having a chronic illness, it totally sucks, but the community support is amazing.

An Amazing Tools to Help You Be Your Own Best Advocate! A Review of the Abridge App

When I was asked to review the Abridge app, I was excited to hear that it could help make my doctor’s appointments easier and help me to be my own best advocate for myself! The app easily and securely records your health care conversations, so at my latest appointment, I was able to focus 100% of my attention on what my doctor was saying, instead of worrying about taking manual notes. I had the pleasure of talking to the app’s co-founder, who was inspired by his own family’s experience with a rare disease, as well as his own experience as a cardiologist. He recognized that most medical tools out there are built for doctors, insurance companies, etc., and there’s rarely anything that empowers the patient.

    Are You An Influencer?

For me as a chronic illness advocate and social media marketer, it’s personally very important to me that I share the positives AND the possible negatives of each product I use and recommend. Customers are sick of being sold to on pop up ads, commercials, emails, text messages etc., but influencers that are trusted by their community can bring a fresh perspective to marketing campaigns. Influencers can make a very positive impact on brand marketing, especially as our tools continue to expand and make it easier to create great content. I think that influencers are also realizing that there can easily be TOO much of a good thing, so they are actively working to create non-sponsored content that’s just as good as their sponsored content as well.
