Mostly I think it is attributed to the fact that I like to take it one day at a time, because this is our forever journey and it will evolve. It started with once in a while, and we wrote it off as a terrible witching hour that was very quickly started to dread. I noticed he was STILL seemingly choking or having trouble with excess gulping and thankfully right around his third month, we discovered the preemie nipples to the Dr. Brown bottles. My mom said she noticed him not catching himself on that side too, but didn’t want to worry me and thought he would just outgrow it, or that she was just over analyzing too.

And I say that because I agree it is serious to SOME demographics (particularly the elderly or those with respiratory health concerns) but in all honesty, looking at the stats and the symptoms, for the rest of us, it is a bad cold/flu. And while I appreciate her teacher for informing them and for teaching them how to properly wash their hands (her teacher is THE best honestly), I wish the adults would get the same memos and stop buying out the entire supply of toilet paper. ’s gunna be ok when you get a text from me contemplating homeschooling for the 400th time this week. Also, all jokes aside, let’s take a step back and have a little compassion for those with compromised immune systems and the elderly.

I’ve talked to so many clients who try to meal plan, but feel it’s too complicated, time-consuming or doesn’t fit their lifestyle. That’s why I want to dive into a simplified meal-planning process that will have you shopping your pantry, saving time, money and reducing food waste! For instance, if you have a lot of veggies in the fridge that need to be eaten, plan on making some of your dinners revolve around things like soup, salad, pasta sauce or fried rice – dinners that you can throw a lot of random items into, and still have it taste great. But if you stick to it week by week, in three months, you’ll have more space in your pantry, you’ll be more intentional about your shopping, will save money and reduce your food waste.

At one point I even just slapped the bleach all over my head (which is TERRIBLE for your head if you have scalp psoriasis by the way) and thought “Yay, now I’ll really be blonde!!! And actually there was one point at which I toned it and used enough shampoo to actually like it, but this yellow hot mess I showed up at Sharon’s with was about 4 weeks since its last bleaching/toning. A good friend of mine, Michelle of Its Brown Time (check out their IG here), has been going to Sharon for some time now and tells me great things about her often. You see when you find yourself unemployed and try to turn a hobby into a potentially fruitful career, things like getting your hair and nails done get thrown on the back burner and you go into survival mode with the exception of a good time with your closest friends or your family to keep you motivated.

We got through gifts more quickly and the clutter was lessened, but more importantly it felt like the gifts were more meaningful and focused and truly what things both babies appreciated or needed. If you haven’t heard of Get Out Pass, think of it as one of those passes you may have tried when visiting a tourist area like New York City or Southern California. From larger attractions like Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Seaquest, to Sacramento treasures like the Sacramento Children’s Museum and Capital Floats, there is something for anyone and everyone! Stop cluttering your home with crap that may never get use and gift a loved one a Get Out Pass so that you can spend time and adventure together all year long!

Sure, you can see the whole park in two days on a regular pass (Californians have a cheaper option than out of state visitors), but if you’re visiting in July when the sun is beaming on you for an hour while waiting for the Studio Tour, trust me you’ll Thank you again so much to the Universal Studios Hollywood team for making our trip (and our kids & Yaya’s first trip) such a fun experience!

Our son is 20 months old and was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy (Left-Sided Spastic Hemiplegia) in January (2019). For now, we just wanted to share this info with the world because it’s becoming more regular that people ask what happened to him when they see him with his leg brace on and things like that. More than anything, we are sharing this normally private family situation because we want to be a resource to others who may not know what it means to be diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. I’ll create a more educational based on what we’ve learned, as well as what has helped us along the way because this has been a journey of many many hands and we are grateful for each and every soul that has poured into our sweet boy’s story.

For the second year in a row, we were selected to host a Beech-Nut Naturals mommy party and we couldn’t be more excited! Our guests were welcomed with a complete Beech-Nut Naturals spread – purees for the babies complete with coozies to give mom a good grip, and Beech-Nut Melties and Beech-Nut Natural Snack Bars for the big brothers and sisters in attendance. You might remember that last year when we hosted our very first Beech-Nut mommy party, my son was just starting solids and he immediately fell in love with Beech-Nut purees. We sent each of our #infantfluencers and #littleinfluencers home with a goodie bag with their favorites and can’t wait to host our next mommy party!

We started the evening at a private STEM focused pre-show hosted by Atherton PR and Girl Scouts Heart of Central California where the little ones participated in stations relating to aerodynamics. One station had a foam rocket launcher, and mini launchers for the kids to play with around the room and another had a wind tunnel with feather activity. I must say, Feld Entertainment is setting the bar high, because both the one we attended in February and the one we attended last night have been significantly different than ones we went to in previous years, in a good way! Once our friends hit the road, I’ll come back and drop in our vlog from the event, but I don’t want to spoil the fun!
