    You can keep this meatloaf recipe vegan by ditching the dairy and replacing the traditional egg binder with a flax egg mixture! If you're not on a vegan or egg-free diet, you can always use eggs for the binder! I use a flax egg instead of the traditional whisked egg in this Beyond Meat meatloaf recipe. I don't use any extra liquid beyond a little ketchup and liquid smoke.

    Air Fryer Meatloaf

    You are going to need to check the temperature of the meatloaf in the air fryer to make sure it reaches at least 165 degrees F. Protein (Meat Substitute, Beef, Turkey or Pork) - this forms the bulk of our meatloaf. HOW TO COOK MEATLOAF IN AN AIR FRYER • Put meatloaf into the air fryer basket on top of parchment paper. If you feel that the top of your meatloaf is starting to burn, you can place foil on top of the meatloaf to help with that. You are going to spend far less time cooking your meatloaf in an air fryer vs cooking your vegetarian meatloaf in an oven.

    Vegan bread: You can use your favorite plant-based bread for this simple crouton recipe. Salt: I just use a pinch of salt to bring out the natural flavor of these croutons, the seasonings, and whatever I add them too. Garlic powder: Garlic powder is slightly sweeter than raw garlic and is perfect when you want seasoning but no garlic clumps. I usually have vegan sourdough, vegan French bread, or simple vegan sandwich bread around my house, so that's what I usually do.
