Bhimashankar Temple On Banks Of Bhima River Near Pune

Bhimashankar is also the place of origin of the river Bhima, which merges with the river Krishna downstream, and finally merges in the Bay of Bengal. Like any ancient pilgrimage place, Bhimashankar also has a series of water bodies called Tirthas, which are sacred. Like all Shiva temples, a lot of people visit this temple on Mondays and on Shivaratri. Other places around the temple include the origin of the river Bhima, Gupt Bhimashankar, Bhorgiri fort, Nag Phani, Bombay Point, and a temple dedicated to Sakshi Vinayak.

Different Types Of Chai You Must Have In India

In India It was a good time to look at all the past images and bring out these flavors of various types of Chai for you from across the country and some even from abroad. Well, you can use any spices like – black pepper, cardamom, cloves, tulsi leaves, cinnamon, lemongrass, or fennel seeds as you like. Green/White/Black/Oolong Tea – Types of Chai to explore sometimes These are usually the lightest possible teas you can have. I never thought I would like a cold milk tea, a kind of tea version of cold coffee.

  • Temples of Bawali

There are two ways to reach Bawali, you can take the road from Behala that goes towards Thakurpukur/Joka or you can take the road to Budge Budge and reach Bawali. I also prefer the road via Budge Budge because in this way you can visit other interesting sites around Budge Budge and Achipur. Take the lane on right next to Radha Gopinath Jiu Temple and after around twenty meters you will reach a gate with a compound consisting of old temples and other old structures. The Mondol family used to play Holi with flowers instead of colors thus according to the locals this building was built primarily for the household members of the Zamindar family to play Holi and enjoy private time amongst family members.

  • Chausath Yogini Temple Hirapur

This Yogini is seen mounted on top of a male figure, the male figure is seen lying on the ground on his knees holding a lotus plant. This Yogini is seen mounted on top of a dog, she is seen mounted on the left leg while the other right leg is lifted over her left thigh and her hand holding onto her right leg. On her left hand, she is seen carrying a shield and on her right hand, she is seen carrying a thunderbolt. She is having four arms out of which each left and right hand hold a lion on top of her head while the rest of the two arms hold a dagger with her right hand and a severed head with her left hand.

Ancient Chandreshwar Bhootnath Temple Atop A Hill In Goa

Chandreshwar Bhootnath temple is one of the oldest temples in Goa. Here you can see an old Tirtha or a temple tank next to two small but very old temples. The temples, literally a small room each standing next to each other are the two Bhairav temples called Kaal Bhairav and Siddha Bhairav. This is also the point where the stairs to climb the hill to reach the main temple begin.

  • A Self- Guided Trek to Gudibande Hill Fort & Sabbanahalli Lake

For example, when I took a self- guided trek to Gudibande Hill Fort in Chikkaballapur District of Karnataka which has got a Lord Shiva temple and a ruined fort wall. Gudibande hill fort coupled with Sabbanahalli lake is a perfect getaway for one day road trip from Bangalore in under 100 kms. To reach Gudibande hill fort and lake we started our journey from Bangalore at 7:30 A. M. in the morning and it took approximately 3 hours to reach here. On your way to Gudibande hill fort, you are going to spot few beautiful lakes including Sabbanahalli lake where we took a short break for lunch and obviously soaking up its beauty too.

Holistic Living At Swaswara On The Om Beach In Gokarna

This made me take a walk and look at all the names they have given to their 24 villas and found soulful names like Bhakti, Chandra, Chakra, and Bhoomi. A meditation hill that gives a great view of the sunrise is a perfect place to meditate with a sea view, pretty much like the ancient sages who used to cross mountains to come and meditate here. Their library has a wonderful collection of books from the Bihar School of Yoga, which in my opinion are the best books on Yoga to read. You can also walk out of the property and climb the hill that divides Kudle beach and Om beach.

  • Kolkata Port Trust Maritime Heritage Centre

You will get to see some old paintings of the city, the history of the establishment of Calcutta port, foundation laying of Haldia Port, and other important information which directly or indirectly connects the river to the history of the city. One of the most interesting instrument that is on display is the original 100-foot steel measuring tape that was used by the Chief Engineering Drawing Office in charge of building the iconic Howrah Bridge. The steel tape had to be special since heat and cold can alter the length of the tape thus this tape was made from special steel that did not change in length due to temperature change and remained constant. Before joining the movie industry when Uttam Kumar was known by his original name Arun Kumar Chatterjee and apart from doing theatre he used to work here in Calcutta Port trust as a cashier at the Port Commissioners office at Kidderpore in the year 1944.

  • Srinagar Mughal gardens, flower filled royal niches

Chashme Shahi, Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh, Pari Mahal, and Naseem Bagh are the most famous Srinagar Mughal gardens and these border Dal Lake or are in its vicinity. • Offbeat Kashmir itinerary ideas

Offbeat Kashmir destinations visited during this  trip and their distance from Srinagar Offbeat Kashmir destinations visited during this  trip and their distance from Srinagar Pampore (only 18 minutes drive from Awantipore – famous for willow cricket bats and 45 minutes from Srinagar via NH1 and NH44). It is at the foot of the eternally snowy Sinthan Pass and is around a 3-4 hours drive from Srinagar via the NH244 and the Srinagar – Kanyakumari Highway. Shared taxis run from Vailoo (10 km below Daksum) to Kishtwar (83 km from Sinthan) and take about 4-5 hours for the journey. If you are interested in trekking, about 10 km from Daksum on the way to Sinthan, a 3-km-long trail goes off the road along the Brengi stream to the Girsar Spring, whose waters also feed the Brengi.
