I switched my major five times. 🥴 My first one was interior design. I’m pretty sure this room was designed by me in the parallel universe where I did indeed become an interior designer. 👨🏻‍🎨 That, or my Instagram feed puked up a couch. 😂 Obviously I ended up somewhere very different. But that’s life. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the journey. 🛋 🥂

I post this every year on my personal IG but it’s worth the read so I’ve added it here 💋 19 things I learned in 2019: 1️⃣Just because you deserve an apology doesn’t mean you’ll get one. 2️⃣Toxic folks are like sunflower seeds: not worth the trouble. 3️⃣Time moves at the exact speed you don’t want it to. 4️⃣Adulting is like eggs: versatile, but really not that great. (And honestly we are all scrambling). 🥚 5️⃣You can’t change people. So don’t let them change you. 6️⃣Take a leap and...no a net may not appear. Like you might totally fall on your face (hi same) but you don’t have to stick the landing to land. 7️⃣You can get all the McFlurry flavors in one if you ask nicely. (Or not nicely but like I haven’t tried that.) 🍦 8️⃣Bullies exist beyond high school. 9️⃣Actually high school exists beyond high school. 😂 Swipe for 1️⃣0️⃣ & 1️⃣1️⃣. The Office related. Naturally. 1️⃣2️⃣Accept compliments. 1️⃣3️⃣Accept help. 1️⃣4️⃣Accept failure. 1️⃣5️⃣...cuz failure is still progress. In college, we were taught to never go with our first idea because if it was our first idea, it was probably somebody else’s too. So we’d find several ways to make something work and then pick the best one (and sometimes the client would still hate it). I remember having to stare at a pint of ice cream and list 50 things I noticed just about how it looks. Sometimes I think that’s like adulting. You can try to reach a goal 50 different ways or 50 different times and still fail. That was 2019 for me. But it’s no waste. You’re closer to finding what works. 1️⃣6️⃣Failure tests your perseverance. Prove yourself right. 1️⃣7️⃣The success of others doesn’t take away from yours. 1️⃣8️⃣ This year tore me apart twice. #dramatic (Classic #IYKYK situaysh) But once again... I made it. We all did. 🥂 1️⃣9️⃣ And that is the ONE tradition we have all flawlessly kept since the very beginning. Every. Single. Year. 🖤 We can do this. We’re living proof. #2020 I can “see” it now...
