Hi, I’m Julia. I’m a college student who is double-majoring and double-minoring, and still finds time to travel. I’ve been to 4 continents, 28 countries, and 206 cities, which means I still have so much exploring to do.
I am by no means a solo traveler, nor have I stopped working or schooling in order to go on these adventures. I travel with my family, and since I was homeschooled from kindergarten to high school, we mostly traveled during low-seasons (which was so wonderful because we didn’t have to deal with large crowds, long lines, or expensive flights!) And if you know anything about homeschooling you know that your parents try to make everything and everywhere a learning experience. This definitely means I have spent many, many hours researching, writing papers, and presenting slide shows on our destination before we ever even set foot on an airplane. I hope to share some cool facts I’ve learned during these projects, and I hope to share them with you in a way that peaks your interest in learning about cultures before exploring them.
I also love being a tourist in my own city. I find it so fun discovering unique opportunities just beyond my backyard – opportunities that are not your usual touristic points. For me, traveling is not just 14 hour-flights to exotic locations, or cross-country road trips with ever-changing scenery. It’s experiencing the community and the culture all around you. It is about exploring and letting your curiosity lead you to amazing discoveries you may have never encountered. I want to show you all the wonderful (and not-so-well-known) things to see and do in the beautiful (and very hot and humid) Orlando, Florida.
Along all my travels I’ve made incredible memories, met amazing people, experienced diverse cultures, and acquired some funny stories to share.
My desire is to share these experiences with you to inspire your next destination.
