I love that @truelearn has a “big picture” box with all of their rationales. It gives you a great synopsis as to why the answer is right and gives you great tips regarding overarching NCLEX themes and styles of questions. Remember! The NCLEX practice questions won’t be the ones you see on your test- don’t memorize those rationales directly- rather study what the question is trying to teach you (scope, prioritization, etc) Good luck! Had the best weekend out in the mountains spending quality moments with family! 1 year ago today I found out that I passed the NCLEX!! That will forever be one of my proudest days! Flash forward to now I’m working full time as a nurse educator, training another educator and working on completing my PAP certification. Cheers to one year of being an RN - it’s been a good one. Welcome to the new monthly series of NCLEX chit chats with Cloe (I feel like I need a drink in hand next time we chat 🤣) Todays topic: timed exams I know that the NCLEX gives us plenty of time to take the exam but timed tests DO help us study! Let me tell you why I love the @truelearn tool of timed exams 1. If I don’t have that much time to study I can give myself 15 minutes to do a practice test and still get my studying in for the day 2. It’s a perfect way to time breaks (okay two 15 minutes practice exams and then it’s time to do something fun) 3. Once your brain practices timed exams it will learn to recognize patterns quickly- meaning that you can cruise through the multiple choice and select all that apply questions and use most of your brain power for the case study questions!
