Finally baking my carrot cake today and look forward to diving into these colors, buttercream, piping ~ prepping for Saturday's class We are continuing donating from my @shop.sashacakeschicago sales and now proceeds from my @tastemade Live Experiences/Classes are being donated to @usaforunhcr for Ukrainian Refugees 🇺🇦 This Saturday during the @tastemade Live Stream we will be making this Festive Easter Carrot Cake, which will be recorded ~ RSVP in my bio even if you can't attend the live Its been two weeks of, collectively as family, feeling helpless, sad, scared, down. We haven't smiled much, we don't talk much unless its about the news from friends and family that are in Ukraine now or trying to refuge. Other topics are school, health, food, which every time make me think of all kids, women, men, elderly in Ukraine and other countries that do not have it right now. We feel guilty being in usa, guilty of helplessness. WhatsApp and Telegram groups are our new reality: videos, photos, messages, news from people we care about that are surviving. Miracles happen in such times : our #bakersforukraine collab was extraordinary; from partnering up with incredible team @corrinnscakes, @my_kitchen_area, @unamourpatisserie to gather 400+ bakers across the Globe in just 2 days, to raising $30,000 for multiple fundraisers is beyond incredible.
