Highlights
  • Lemon Chicken Orzo Soup

It’s no secret that with cooler weather comes cold and flu season, and I like to do my best to prepare my body with mentioned nourishment all season long by making healthy and immune strengthening soups to warm up with. It aids in your total-body wellness, which includes immunity, joint healthy, hair, skin and nails and even brain function. I also am always sure to make recipes that are realistic for fitting into my busy lifestyle, and there is nothing better to me than throwing together a healthy and easy soup. Check out my Instagram (@kaylaskitchandfix) to check out behind the scenes on my stories, be the first to see new recipes and watch my story highlights to see some step by steps for my more labor intensive recipes (that are still totally doable for all skill levels!).

  • Grain Free Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Pancakes

I’ve had some aaaaamazing gluten free pancakes and always feel inspired to recreate them in my own kitchen, but with ingredients that don’t lead to a post brunch nap. It can be made completely sugar free by using monk fruit sugar or paleo by opting for coconut sugar. I always use Otto’s cassava flour because out of all of the cassava flours I have tried, it truly always works the best for me. Check out more of my breakfast recipes by clicking here and follow along on Instagram where I share lots of my recipes in real time on my stories!

  • Tips & Tricks for Couple Photoshoots

This blog post isn’t to give tips in terms of camera settings and lighting, but instead, I want to share my tips from the other side of the camera on how to plan a meaningful shoot to create photos with sentiment. Definitely try to dress in a way that feels cohesive with you, and don’t try to recreate a style that isn’t the way you like to dress! Matt and I postponed our wedding this year and did a photoshoot with Kalyn on the original date as a fun way to remember the date. Go to a location that makes sense for you, wear something that you feel comfortable in (today is not the time to try out a hat or new lipstick) and have fun with it.

  • Pumpkin Spice Coconut Creamer

Bringing my favorite naturally sweetened Vanilla Coconut Creamer (click here!) with us into fall with a seasonal twist. Make a batch of this and you can enjoy easy homemade pumpkin spice lattes all week long with my new Pumpkin Spice Coconut Creamer. Try my go to dairy and sugar free Vanilla Latte recipe by clicking here and follow along on Instagram (@kaylaskitchandfix) where I post my morning (and sometimes afternoon as well) coffee creations just about every single day! I love to enjoy coffee with Pumpkin Spice Creamer frothed with a scoop of either Further Food vanilla collagen (or unflavored for Whole30) or Organifi Pumpkin Spice Gold for both added beauty and health benefits.

  • Apple Butternut Squash Soup

Plus, it’s Whole30 and can be vegetarian when made with veggie broth and sans bacon. Cozy into fall with a comforting bowl of this sweet yet savory Apple Butternut Squash Soup that requires minimal effort and packs big flavor. There’s nothing better than prepping a handful of ingredients and throwing them into a slow cooker to be blended and ready to eat in three hours. I bought an extra honey crisp apple and whipped up some grilled cheeses with some leftover bacon, thinly sliced apple, sharp white cheddar and buttery bread.

  • Kayla's Kitch and Fix

I’ve made fried rice more times than I can count, but I decided to do some testing to figure out how to get that super crispy fried rice that you get at a restaurant and ended up with my new favorite way to make this takeout staple at a home. While I love my rice, cassava flour has been a recent obsession of mine, and Jovial Foods cassava orzo works perfectly for this dish! I originally created this dish while transitioning out of a round of Whole30 and into Food Freedom, so this meal is perfect for that reintroduction period of the program as long as you use the cassava orzo since it’s grain free. My General Tso’s Chicken is constantly being shared over on Instagram and I still can’t get enough of my Orange Chicken

  • Kayla's Kitch and Fix

Soup Season is starting off strong with this Whole30 Chicken Pot Pie Soup with almond flour Crust Crumbles. That’s why I always get so much joy out of making gluten free and dairy free recipes that are not only fueling to my body, but comfort my soul because they taste dang good! It’s creamy without any added dairy and gluten free while still giving you that doughy, crispy crust we just can’t resist. All you have to do is swap the chicken in the recipe for tofu (make sure you get in your protein!) and opt for veggie broth instead of chicken broth/bone broth!

  • Whole30 Buffalo Chicken Meatballs

Whether you’re looking for a filling appetizer, something different for a protein packed dinner, or maybe you just love yourself some meatballs of all kinds, these Whole30 Buffalo Chicken Meatballs are here just in time for football season! If you’re new here, all you need to know about my recipes is that I basically live for creating comforting and delicious versions of my favorite foods. These meatballs are packed with protein and the ranch serves as a healthy fat (when made with compliant avocado oil mayo), so I love to top a big plate of mixed greens with these spicy spheres in order to have a full balanced meal. If you’re looking for some other healthy and delicious appetizer ideas, try out my Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts (here!),

  • Creamy B(No L)T Soup with Chicken

This Creamy B(No L)T Soup with Chicken is basically like your favorite tomato basil soup but upgraded. I couldn’t wait any longer and have already started creating fall recipes, starting with this Whole30 soup! Leave out the meat (bacon and chicken) and swap the chicken broth for veggie, then you’re set! Grab some of my other Whole30 soup recipes, like my Bacon Potato Soup (here) and my Healing Ginger and Turmeric Chicken Soup (here)!
