When the ER vet called to say that Vince’s MRI went fine, she saw he had a brain tumor or glioma which french bulldogs, boxers and Boston Terriers are predisposed to, and he should start coming out of the sedative, I didn’t realize she basically saying we did all we can for him. I knew if I posted to Instagram or Facebook, people could send positive energy our way, but I also knew as a curious person that people would have more questions than I would have answers. But those dog owners on Instagram, the ones who rallied around me, sent condolences, and took up a fund to help pay Vince’s vet bills, get it.

If you have someone who lets him pull or grows frustrated and carries that puppy and that’s not what you want long term for your frenchie, that person will be setting your training back and teaching the puppy he is in charge. So many people love cute French Bulldogs, everyone will be working against you when they’re gushing over your pup and you’re trying to keep your pup’s attention on you. Unfortunately, my experience has been most trainers in this area are immediately infatuated with Vince and become a push over, do not have a track record of training French Bulldogs, or rely on the e-collar for training. The benches displayed Mr. Redlegs wearing various uniforms of the club’s history and on the bench had an explanation of the uniforms, which was perfect for the casual observer. I had a goal of taking Vince to see most of the benches, knowing I would not be in Dayton, Ohio, Louisville, KY and I couldn’t take him into the Cincinnati Zoo, but the others were fair game! I was at the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky airport with Vince to travel to NYC, but people were really taking their time getting photos

To celebrate my birthday, I planned a trip to NYC to visit my best friend from college and decide to take Vince to a dog-friendly hotel! The hotel decor highlights the pineapple theme without being over the top and Vince loved exploring the room, looking at the window, and the bed. Also at Petco, Pet Krewe illusion costumes which include the pirate and Oktoberfest guy in lederhosen which I already bought because my family likes to celebrate our German heritage. The last couple of years Disney and Star Wars costumes have been popular, so I’m excited to see Pet Krewe offering Sesame Street on their website and as well as at Petco. Michaels is probably not the first place people think to look when scouting dog costumes, but it’s where I found Vince’s Leave a comment and let me know which Halloween dog costume Vince would look best in for 2019!
