I recently discovered Wescover — a decor website that brings small artists, designers, and craftsmen together onto one platform so you can easily shop for unique, meaningfully made items. During our chat, she told me Wescover’s back story began with thoughts of supporting small businesses and investing money into pieces that are non-disposable. I had our dishwasher running when we went to bed last night, so I quickly put the clean dishes away and load the dishwasher with any dishes that have gathered on the counter. I always say dirty dishes attract more dirty dishes and making it a point to put things directly in the dishwasher really helps prevent us from just getting lazy and stacking dishes up next to the sink. I wash any remaining things in the sink which I’m always so tempted to skip, but a couple of minutes scrubbing those dishes now is always so much better than having to catch up on a mountain of dishes a few days later. We haven’t been the best at getting her to fall asleep on her own, but I think as I start to have more energy again we’ll be able to leave her alone before bed and get a little time in watching a show just David and me.

Gawd I love putting together a mixtape, and this one has been playing on heavy rotation. I popped in a few oldies and some new jams that I recently stumbled upon. This afternoon, I’ll be enjoying a cocktail or two while listening to this one outside…soaking the last bit of sunshine before the snow heads our way. All the attendees packed into rooms sitting shoulder to shoulder listing to Nate Berkus and Young Huh give advice to interior designers and home decor bloggers like myself. We grabbed a sweet seat at the bar that was pretty much black duct tape with a bit of padding and got a bit snarky. Before I flew home, I Ubered over to a few of my favorite vintage shops, including Decades (little did I know it would be my last visit before it shuttered for good), and of course popped into Dixon Rye. I started designing my One Room Challenge work from home office space, doubled down on bloggery land, and made the decision to closed the shop.

During my accidental guest bedroom makeover, I chose to keep my existing sconces over the nightstands, but the less than sophisticated ceiling light had to go. The time has come for new bedroom light fixtures, so I headed over to my one-stop-shop for bedroom lighting ideas, Lamps Plus. While searching for the ceiling light fixtures, I got a few more bedroom lighting ideas. but oh so fun), and the gold coral shaped bowl is all available on Lamps Plus!

Printfresh PJs appeared in my Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest feeds a few times, so when they reached out and asked if I wanted to collaborate, I took it as a sign from the pajama gods. The Printfresh pajama pants have a drawstring tie which I love since my weight tends to fluctuate, so I like to size up. Tooling around town in my pink pants just seemed a bit too much even if they are the best pajamas to wear. The other 2 prints I adore are Camel’s Courtyard in Cloud, Queen Lotus, and Unicorn’s Garden (not pink or purple like you might think).

I love how everything has turned out, but my final (and arguably most fun project) was organizing the vanity! I was hoping to use The Home Edit’s new line of vanity organizers for my drawers, but they were just a smidge too tall for my short drawers. I had two phases to my project: the larger items in the turntable under the sink, and smaller things like hair products and makeup in the drawers, potentially with some on the counter.
