I loved my gray Upwest Sweater I love that Up West uses sustainable practice and this particular sweater is made of recycled threads. They are pretty thick so great for colder weather and of course in true Spanx fashion hold everything in. no clue, the Spanx website doesn’t have any information on sustainability

Mesa Verde National Park (4 hours) COVID-19 UPDATE: Even though the Mesa Verde Visitor and Research Center is currently closed, it is still worth stopping by. Mesa Verde is a bit different than most National Parks in the sense that there is a great emphasis on the anthropological aspects of the people who once lived and migrated to the region in addition to the natural beauty of the place. Since we arrived in the early afternoon on a Friday during the off-season, we were able to book day-of tickets for Cliff Palace and we snagged the first tour for Long House the following day without any problem. A bit further off, in the Wetherill Mesa, the Long House Tour requires a short walk to the cliff, where you walk down a moderately steep staircase to the site.

If you follow me on Instagram you might of seen my snapshot of my appearance on HGTV’s Martha Knows Best last month! I shared a few project ideas and was asked to create a brief video tutorial that could be shared with the producers. It wasn’t until a friend reached out on a Friday night after stumbling across the video on HGTV that I realized it had made it to air! Martha Stewart has always been a huge inspiration of mine and it really was an honor to get to share my work with her and have my work featured on HGTV at the same time.

In 2020 I made a pledge to try and use more sustainable products when possible in my life and cut down on single-use plastics. and I feel so much better about tossing food we didn’t eat or has gone bad into the compost vs the trash. Stasher bags are made with non-toxic silicone, microwave safe, freezer safe, you can even pop it in the oven or sous vide! Truth be told we still use paper towels, we have them both on the counter and sometimes paper towels just feel like the right choice, but now that we are composting I don’t feel as bad throwing them away cause I can now compost them!

I was listening to The Skinny Confidential Him and Her podcast with Dean Graziosi, when a new way to look at goal setting clicked. While the New Year is like the global goal-setting time you can start doing this at any time!! It’s kinda like that friend who just won’t break up with that guy cause it’s not good timing… lame. I wanted to have a good balance of taking on the new but also getting rid of the old.

2020 was also the year of the cozy pullover and I’m not getting off that train either – I have a number of favorite leggings, this particular pair I got on sale at Siera Trading Post. I have 3 pairs of Old Navy Powerstof leggings and wear those 5 days a week In winter a sometimes you want a thicker legging and that’s when I pull out my Spanx seamless leggings.
