Naomi grew up as a missionary kid in Outer Mongolia before moving to Lakeland, Florida at the age of 18. A few years later, she graduated with a degree in graphic design, launched her own wedding photography business, and finally mastered the art of dressing for Florida weather. She met Matthew Vacaro in 2015, got married in 2017, and they had their first baby, a boy named Cove, in September of 2020. In early 2018 she felt led to create a devotional tool called the Quiet Time Companion, along with an online community of women who would be dedicated to encouraging each other in their daily walk with Jesus. By September 2018, the Quiet Time Companion was available to order and Wholehearted had taken its first steps! Now Naomi fills her days with mothering, homemaking, writing, and leading the Wholehearted community.
