Hospital Bag Must-Haves for Mom and Baby

After three rounds of having a baby, I have figured out what is essential to pack to welcome a baby into the world and survive the fun of postpartum. The general rule is if you used it while at the hospital, it’s yours. So when you start to pack up to head home, be sure to take anything that you used that isn’t nailed down 🙂 You can take the diapers that you didn’t use, the pads and gels, the water bottles, anything! I’d love to know what you find essential to taking to the hospital to have a baby!

  • Spring Roundup of Etsy Favorites – Today Sarah Says

So I’ve officially started to do some spring cleaning and it feels so good to get rid of the clutter after such a long winter…err, year of quarantine. While I’m also putting the finishing touches on the twins’ nursery and refreshing some other rooms, I’ve been scouring Etsy for things that could breathe some new life into the house. It’s always the right time to support small business owners Take a look at a few of them here or check out my favorites page where you can browse all the goodies below and more.

What to Expect at New Touch of Disney Disneyland Food Event (+ 5 Tips)

At the turnstiles you’ll be given a Touch of Disney printed park ticket and a $25 Dining Card. While I don’t typically take time to wait in long lines for photos, the limited capacity of the Touch of Disney event meant that there were practically no lines at the photo spots around the park. If you’re familiar with mobile ordering at Disney Parks you’ll know that the timing can be tricky and you might have a substantial wait for your food. When ready, you’ll be sent a notification telling you to pick up your food (sometimes they’ll give you a specific window to pick it up from).

7 Great Easter Basket Gift Ideas for your Toddler

I have love sharing my Easter and Springtime gift ideas with you all. Here is what I shared last year and my ideas are more toy-centered gifts. This year, I have really enjoyed searching for new Easter and Spring themed gifts. I hope that either of my posts is able to give you some good ideas and help make Easter and Springtime extra special this year!

  • 12 Straw Bags under $40

I love a good straw or rattan bag and this seems to be a trend that doesn’t ever completely go out of style. Straw bags have been trending for the past few years and each season brings the release of some new designs, plus, the classics from the past few years get restocked. I’ve rounded up my favorite straw/rattan bags, all under $40 and one is even $16! I actually forgot to include it in the collage above, but it is also under $40, holds a good amount of stuff, and has a beautiful color that matches so many different outfits!

Homeschool Diaries :: Spider Unit (+ Free Printable)

I'm not the kind of person to stick to one set curriculum because my boys are still super little and their attention spans aren't fit for page by page curriculum. One of the first things I do as an introduction to the weekly lesson / nature unit is to create a habitat sensory bin / tray for the boys to explore. the one I own is no longer being sold by the small shop I bought it from, but another one of my all-time favorite shops (Jack and Link) came out with their very own version of the life cycle board and I love it. I had the boys pick their favorite spiders and we glued them to the web while talking about spider body parts, the kinds of webs they spin, and where you can find them.

    Gogosi (Romanian Doughnuts)

if the water doesn't bubble or rise, that means that either the water was too hot or the yeast is old and not good for use, so you'll need to go ahead and restart this step. mix 1 cup of greek yogurt and 4 cups of milk in a glass container and then warm the mixture to a temp that you can place your hand in it. this is a complicated step as some types of flour absorb liquid differently, so pay attention to how the dough is feeling and how the flour is mixing into your dough mixture. if you've added all the milk to the mix and you see a lot of flour left, heat up and add more milk until the mixture is just right.

  • Easter Baskets for Kids + Babies – Today Sarah Says

We’re going to have a pretty low-key Easter celebration at home but making baskets for the kids is always one of my favorite traditions. To give you some bright-colored Easter inspiration, I’m sharing my favorite basket fillers that the babies (and big kids) will love. I promise that I 100% do not gift all of these to my kids because to me, it’s not the size or amount of gifts that make us fun parents. I just wanted to round up a shortlist for the good of the cause and because I love a nice, themed holiday, I just can’t help myself.

  • The Juneau Home

I have seen this series done on other blogs & I love seeing and reading a recap of the previous month Instagram-style! None It had been awhile since I have gotten fully ready (thanks covid), so of course a good hair day + a complete outfit had to be We had a stretch of insanely cold weather which was perfect for snuggling up with a good book and TONS of blankets. This was a throwback to my birthday cake; it is a Tres Leches cake - a sponge cake soaked in 3 kinds of milk.

Enjoy the Taste Washington Food & Wine Event for 2021

It’s March, which means it’s time for the Taste Washington food and wine event to come to Seattle. Each week Taste Washington is featuring a theme and local restaurants are creating a featured dish that fits the theme and pairs with a local Washington wine. Each week you can print off that week’s featured recipe featuring local makers and head to Whole Foods for your shopping. Many local wineries are featuring virtual wine tasting packages that include wine and pre-recorded tasting videos and some even have live virtual tasting events.
