  • How To Manage Your Pain After Breast Implant Replacement Surgery

After many years, some women feel that they don’t need the implants anymore or are causing them back pain amongst other reason so they get breast implant removal surgery which helps by putting less pressure on their back. Others who have already had breast augmentation surgery, then they may just need breast implant replacement surgery. Pain and discomfort are two absolutely normal things to expect in any surgery, so when getting your breast implants replaced, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. Women who have been through childbirth and have had breast augmentation will describe post-augmentation to breast engorgement where the breasts become overly full.

  • 5 Ways To Look After Your Health As A Mum-To-Be

Your midwife will be a great source of information during your pregnancy and is sure to have plenty of reassurance and support to help you every step of the way during your pregnancy, so keeping up with your appointments and staying in touch will help you to build a relationship with them! Try to avoid taking natural medications and pain killers, as some can contain ingredients that aren’t recommended for pregnant women, or have been known to bring on early labour. Some pregnant women report changes in their eyesight or teeth and gum health whilst pregnant due to fluctuations in their hormone levels, so if you notice any changes, its best to get them checked and discuss this with your optician or dentist Warrington-based. Try to avoid lifting anything heavy whilst shopping, such as potatoes and heavy bottles, and try to minimise any risk of injury to yourself and your baby by bending your knees whilst picking things up.

  • DIY Skills to Teach Your Kids

If you’re looking for skills to teach your kids, try these: Let’s say you’re working on a project that requires you to hammer in some nails or tighten something. It’s estimated that 10% of United States households have leaks in their plumbing that can waste up to 90 gallons of water per day, so you can show your child why it’s important to tighten seals and fix leaks right away. You might also consider taking your child shopping at a gardening center to teach them about different plants, different tools used for gardening, and how to plant different flowers. By teaching your child DIY skills, they’ll learn new things, they’ll have fun, and they’ll

Visibility: What is it? Why Does it Matter? – PsychoSocial

Step outside your comfort zone and learn about other people’s experiences and life. As I was finishing up this article, I felt it was important to highlight the recent increase in hate crimes against Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders due to misconceptions about the pandemic (covid-19). No human should fear for their life because of the color of their skin, gender, culture, or ethnic background. As a mental health provider, minority, and woman, I stand with our Asian American and Pacific Islander brothers and sisters; and urge others to become involved and create safe spaces for healing and hope.

Healthy Coping Strategies for Anxiety – PsychoSocial

While everyone’s anxiety and worry are valid, it can also keep us from being present and lead to a deficit in mental health. Often times, people’s goal when it comes to anxiety is to “get rid of it” or “make it go away. It’s not always the response people want to hear, especially when they are paying to solve an issue. Think of the fight or flight response all of us experience when we go through scary experiences.

Should Cisgender-Heterosexual Therapists Work with LGBTQ+ Clients? – PsychoSocial

However, I believe the potential for deficits exists in an identity non-specific therapeutic relationship that could otherwise be avoided in identity-specific therapeutic relationships. So the next time you find yourself in a circumstance in which you consider identity specific vs. identity non-specific therapist match up, I hope you give some of the insights above a little bit of thought. As an out, Non-Binary, Queer Person of Color (QPOC) in high school with conservative and religious parents, I faced many struggles that inevitably had effects on my mental health. Areas in which I provide services include but are not limited to issues concerning: Depression/mood, Anxiety, parenting, couple/polyamory/relationship dynamics, sexuality, gender identity, sexual identity, and kink/BDSM involvement.

5 Ways to Start Working with Your Inner Child – PsychoSocial

Working with children has helped me tap into my inner child and has pushed me to continue working nurturing it. To put it in simple terms, your inner child includes feelings that you may carry around based on your childhood experiences. Doing your favorite activity can help bring some joy to you and your inner child. Treat yourself and your inner child by having your favorite food or snack so that you can nourish yourself and your inner child.

  • Health Hazards to Look Out for When Buying a New House

Lead paint is one of the most common household health hazards you need to look out for when you’re searching for a new home. If the house you’re looking at was built before 1978, there’s a good chance that you’ll find lead paint somewhere inside. Even if it’s hidden under a few layers of new paint, lead-based paint can create all sorts of health hazards. Whether you have young children or not, making sure the house you’re looking at has been tested for lead paint is an important safety measure.

Can Self-Disclosure Help Destigmatize Mental Health? Pt II – PsychoSocial

Not only that, but Therapeutic Disclosure can actually help end the stigma surrounding mental health. What we aim to do through our clinical work is typically one of the first things we reflect on when entering the world of mental health and even more so when starting a private practice. Being honest about our own mental health as therapists can be a very powerful tool that can bridge the gap brought on by mental health stigma. Aside from the benefit above, self-disclosure further destigmatizes mental health by presenting an additional opportunity for us as therapists to open up the conversation about what we do to care for our mental health.
