Highlights
  • The Best Hike on Korcula, Croatia

After leaving Zrnovo, the scenery along this section of the Korcula hiking trail is amazing, with vineyards, old ruins, rock walls, church towers in the distance, etc. After about a half-mile (800m) of hiking, watch for a small green Kocje sign in the grass, pointing to a trail which veers off to the right. We didn’t find it easy to find our way out of the Kocje valley, but the hiking trail continues to the north, so keep looking, it’s there. This was a great Korcula hiking trail for kids and it kept them interested the whole way, which in turn kept us happy the whole way!

  • Things to do in Cesky Krumlov with Kids

This old Czech Republic castle was a mighty castle back in the 14-16th centuries, but now lays in ruins. After a fun walk through Old Town, we walked across the Vltava River to the river at the Cesky Krumlov Castle. The Castle Tower is so beautiful from the outside and appears very tall when looking at it from Old Town, but in actual fact, it’s not really that tall. Our 4 year old daughter climbed the Castle Tower by herself with no issues at all, while our 2 year old wanted to be carried.

  • Things to do in Korcula with Kids

In addition, the Hvar to Korcula ferry was a convenient stop between our 2 days on Hvar with kids and our final Croatia stop where we spent 2 days in Dubrovnik with kids. Sure, we had read about how beautiful the Korcula Old Town is, but normally we look for more than just a beautiful town, we look for fun outdoor activities like hiking or going to the beach. We didn’t know what to expect or exactly what to do in Korcula with our kids, but we ended up having a 2 incredible days in Korcula, Croatia! 5 Things to do in Korcula with Kids Korcula is a small city blessed with an amazing Old Town. We chose this method of getting to Korucla with kids as we didn’t have a rental car and the Krilo ferry offers direct service from Hvar Town to Korcula Old Town.

  • Self-Care Tips For New Moms

In fact, it’s not just okay to take care of yourself, it’s essential, especially when you’re postpartum. After the chaos of delivering a baby and everyone you’ve ever met queuing up to meet your new addition, it’s natural to want some more quiet time together as a new family. While your baby sleeps, you might be tempted to use the time to catch up on chores or work, but make sure you use at least some of that time for yourself, whether that’s baking, a nap, reading a book, or taking a quiet moment with a coffee. You can use an app to track the basics of baby care like, poops, feeding times, and naps, to help you stay on track.

  • The Top 5 Don’t-Miss Things to do in San Diego with Kids

Looking more closely, there are a dizzying number of attractions here, including the Balboa Park Carousel and miniature train, the Cabrillo Bridge, California Tower, El Cid stature, Escape The Nat escape room, the impressively large Moreton Bay fig tree, the House of Pacific Relations International Cottages, the Photographic Arts Building, the San Diego Mineral and Gem Society, Sefton Plaza, the Spanish Village Art Center, and of course the San Diego Zoo. The Casa del Prado, often just called del Prado, is made of several reconstructed buildings first built for the Panama–California Exposition in San Diego’s Balboa Park. Today, Casa del Balboa houses the Balboa Art Conservation Center, the San Diego Model Railroad Museum, the Museum of Photographic Arts, and the San Diego History Center. Some of our favorite San Diego beaches for kids are Coronado Beach, Del Mar City Beach, Moonlight Beach, Mission Bay, Cardiff State Beach, South Ponto Beach, La Jolla Shores, and Silver Strand State Beach.

  • An Honest Review of GlocalMe WiFi Hotspot

Essentially, the GlocalMe G4 PRO (which is the actual device we tested for this review) is a touchscreen data Wi-Fi hotspot that lets you to connect up to 10 devices simultaneously to the Internet. With a dedicated WiFi device, it also saves on battery life for your cellphone (vs using your cellphone as a hotspot) and allows you to connect a laptop, tablet or any WiFi device to the internet. While we often stay in AirBnB’s for long term travel, having another method to connect to the internet when out and about (from calling an Uber to searching for a restaurant to using Google Maps) is awesome and saves us from having to research local phone options, picking up a SIM (which isn’t possible in every country if you’re not a local) and then activating it. The GlocalMe G4 PRO comes with a data package, with free 8 GB Local Data, plus 1 GB Global Data.

  • Safe Travels: Your Pandemic Road Trip Checklist

Instead, you’ll want to plan out exactly where you’re going to stop to use the bathroom, take a stretch break, and fill up your fuel tank. As you determine where you’ll stop for necessities and where you ultimately want to go, you’ll want to figure out the restrictions you might face along the way (and when you return home). Restrictions in certain cities or towns may also differ as you go about your travels, so you’ll want to familiarize yourself with what’s required before you decide to go on your trip. You’ll want to conduct a lot of research before you finalize your trip to ensure you feel truly comfortable wherever you stay.

  • Shopping Decisions that Benefit the Environment

Replacing windows with energy-star rather than replacement windows, effectively insulating your walls and attic, and improving the efficacy of your heating and cooling systems are some of the cost-conscious options that you can utilize to formulate an effective strategy that can improve your household energy efficiency. The benefits of buying recycled products include lessening the number of natural resources being extracted, it reduces the amount of energy that is required to make a product, and inevitably increases the demand for recycled products which supports environmentally conscious businesses to grow. You can also buy eco-friendly things from bigger stores like Walmart and Target—just keep an eye out for labels on the products that say things like “Cruelty-free!” or “Eco-Friendly!” Whether you are in the oil industry or trying to improve the energy consumption in your home by discarding plastic use, the strides taken will ensure that our carbon footprint decreases significantly in years to come.
