    Oh to Go!

My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter have just been confirmed positive, we´ve had tests and are on tenterhooks waiting a phone call. I´m trying to put it out of my mind while sitting outside keeping an eye on the dogs we´re having to dog sit as my son is not allowed out, not even to walk the dogs. Oh that all this is behind us and we can finally start planning trips to some of the lovely places we have lined up to visit and showcase here for you. We only managed to get to two last year Villa Andalucia B&B and Finca Gordo B&B both in lovely corners of Andalucia.

  • Can You Wait to Get Up in the Morning?

Wilbur Wright Let's admit it, we probably don't all feel like the Wright brothers at this moment. As a fellow creator, with a thousand ideas but only 24 hours each day, holding the responsibility of satisfying her public and her family, she told us in her video how she was doing/drowning. But if this fear also gives us the invitation to re-invent ourselves, to re-think our previous choices, gives us the courage to share with others who might be feeling the same, how much hope and comfort could it bring to us all? How we've shared our feelings of our past memories, asked important questions that showed how much we cared, and opened the door as my youtube lady did.

    Grandma's Briefs — Home — Rockin' PawDad's party

The recent weekend in which my family was all together—a relatively uncommon occurrence even in the best of times—featured not only Robert’s baptism, as I previously shared, but a milestone birthday celebration, too. The birthday festivities, organized primarily by Megan, revolved around a rockin’ theme as rock music (and a fair portion of country, too) has been a nearly lifelong love of our favorite patriarch. One of the festivity highlights was the request for celebrants to wear a tee of a band or musician known to be one of PawDad’s favorites. From baby Robert on up to the birthday man himself, the family rocked PawDad’s party with their selections:

Grandma's Briefs — Home — GRAND Social No. 433 link party for grandparents

Does anyone else find it downright crazy we are facing mid-March already? Time has become a wacky warped dimension of an unfamiliar sort where days seem so incredibly long yet short, weeks and months take forever to go by then It’s a Twilight Zone-y sorta something taking place. Well, wherever you may be in time and space, I sincerely appreciate you popping in for this week’s link party for grandparents.

Grandma's Briefs — Home — Take me to church: Small steps toward normalcy plus baby Robert’s baptism

We were grateful for the streaming option but sorely missed communion, singing along in person with the worship team, greeting our fellow congregants. Despite the half empty sanctuary, how sweet it was (quickly lifting our masks) to finally take communion, singing along in person (from behind our masks) with the worship team, and greeting our fellow (masked) congregants—with elbow bumps—after a twelve-month fast of all of the above. our entire family, grandkids and all (minus Tyler, who’s stationed overseas) would fare just fine attending the following Sunday, for new grandson Robert’s baptism. We fared far better than fine that following Sunday—this past Sunday, in fact—as we and a couple dozen other masked church members witnessed, in person, three-and-a-half-month-old Robert’s holy baptism.

  • They Baffle and Bamboozle with Choices

I know many of you came from a family who had the same sofa from when you were born to when you packed a suitcase and left home. They want to give us a course, send us an email filled with links, offer us something to make our life better. I aim to tell people to not look for the hack, the fix, the instant cure. The chances are you will not strike it rich or be fit or find your life partner on a dating site on your first try.
