Highlights
  • Niagara Falls for First-Timers (US and Canada!)

You can fly into the Niagara Falls International Airport, but those in the U.S. might have better luck flying into Buffalo, New York, which is about an hour away from the falls. If you like road trips, it’s a hearty 6-and-a-half hour drive from New York City to Buffalo. When I was a kid in our camper, we zipped across the bridge from the New York side of Niagara Falls to the Canadian side with little fanfare. The boats used to be on both the Canadian and New York sides, but the official Maid of the Mist boats are just boarded on the New York side now.

18 Scary Travel Stories From Haunted Hotels To Creepy Cabins

From haunted hotels to unexplainable sounds to creepy sightings, the following true travel stories all have one thing in common: They’ll make your hair stand on end — and will have you packing a nightlight next time you’re off on a trip. When it comes to creepy road trip stories and travel horror stories, this is by far my most terrifying. The next morning, as we were buying bread in town for breakfast, we told the story to the baker and he told us there have been many creepy stories of spirits making themselves feel known in the forest. They told me that it was probably a mountain lion but that didn’t explain the chain, or the fact that it sounded exactly like a human walking and running.

Tips To Keep Your Kids Safe While Traveling

If you love traveling, you’re probably making plans for your next trip in the hope that the travel world will return to normal pretty soon. However, traveling with kids requires a lot of planning and caution, as there are various potential risks, especially regarding their safety and health. For example, SeaWorld San Antonio offers a fascinating marine life experience at the family-friendly theme park, with thrilling rides and exciting adventures that almost every child will love. So, before you leave home, teach your little ones some important safety rules and create a routine they can use in case they’re separated from you during your travel.

  • An Off-Season, Safe Trip to Chatham, Massachusetts

If you’re not ready to share hotel pools though, vacation homes are the ideal choice for Cape Cod, as you can travel with friends and family safely while indulging all the perks of a summer home. Where to Stay in Chatham as a Group Chatham falls right in the crook of the elbow of the Cape, about an hour from the canal bridge. Of course, if you’re looking to get that homemade clam chowder or lobster roll fix, the Chatham Fish and Lobster Co. or the Chatham Fish Pier are wonderful, seasonal options. If you plan to go to Cape Cod in the near future and are curious about current restrictions, openings and safety precautions, you can use Reopening Cape Cod for the latest news.

12 Fun Things to do in Vieques, Puerto Rico On Your Next Visit

Whether you’re going for a week or a weekend, you’re going to want to bookmark this list! Vieques is a small island located off the coast of Puerto Rico and makes a great destination for those wanting a slower paced, tropical getaway. I personally found the snorkeling by Mosquito Pier (aka the “rompeolas”) to be the most enjoyable since the water was calm, visibility was clear and there is a lot of wildlife under the pier. Punta Mulas is beautifully restored and has a small museum inside covering the nature of the island and maritime history.

  • Top 8 Hikes in New York State

Whether you’re an urban explorer or a mountain-climber, a beginner or a lifelong backpacker, New York has invigorating hikes and gorgeous scenery for everyone. A full 90 miles of the Appalachian Trail run through New York, including the boardwalks of the Great Swamp and Bear Mountain, where the trail actually runs alongside a zoo and across the Bear Mountain Bridge. The Catskills take up the southeast corner of New York, and the area is packed with gorgeous trails, rushing waterfalls, great fishing, and more. There are mountain climbs like Mount Tremper and wandering paths like Mary’s Glen Trail, but the best view is arguably up at Overlook Mountain.

Fixing Your Health in a Month: 3 Places To Begin

The best place to begin is to get a nutrient deficiency test, so you know what you are lacking, and you can either purchase the supplements, or you can go through companies like Reset IV, which provides IV packages for busy people. As soon as you can fix your sleep, and get into the right habits, you will feel the difference. Sleep is not just about going to bed and waking up at the same time, but it’s about making sure that you are getting proper sleep by reducing distractions and making sure that you prepare yourself for proper rest. Much like we would practice working out, learning how to relax by taking five minutes here and there to breathe, to meditate, or to visualize ourselves feeling happier will make changes to our lives.

How To Create A Kitchen Fit For A Master Chef

If you’ve ever watched baking or cooking shows on TV, you may have noticed that the experts have access to a dazzling array of machines and gizmos and gadgets. From mixers and food processors to high-quality knives, peelers and advanced stoves, consider your options, set a budget and choose investments that will bring enjoyment and make cooking easier and less time-consuming. If you’ve got multiple pots on the go, you’ve peeled and chopped all kinds of exotic ingredients and you’re whizzing around draining one pan while tending to a sauce in another, you’re bound to make a mess. If you enjoy cooking, and you can’t wait to invite friends and family over to tuck into a homemade dinner, it’s a great idea to design your kitchen to enhance workflow.

Your Tips for How to be a Good Tour Guide

Since I’m a tour guide in New York City, I’ve arrived at stops with my groups that were overtaken with a film set for New York City tv shows and movies countless times. Especially if you’re giving something like a tour of historic streets in New York City, the information can become repetitive. Even if it’s not explicitly part of your tour if you’re passionate about what you’re sharing and the way And while, of course, we all want guests to go home and be able to repeat with precision the facts we’ve shared with them; moreover, they’re going to remember the way you made them feel on your tour.
