Sure, these photos aren’t perfect and there is pollen EVERYWHERE, like seriously, if you close it’s in my hair, stuck to the pants, the whole nine yards. I like to be inspired when I create, like I said in my last post, instead of just going through the motions of “ This one in particular is soft, still stylish and has perfectly oversized pants, just like I like ’em. n’t personally vouch for, but that look comfy and stylish and won’t break the bank.

This last weekend I made a trip out to Paramount, California to support my foodie friends Hugh, Ashley, and Paul at their event. Chicken breast, Mississippi comeback sauce, curtido coleslaw, bread & butter pickles on a brioche bun. Choice of Southern, Mild, Medium, Hot or EN FUEGO Battered waffle fries, topped with a heaping double portion of our signature chuck brisket blend, handcrafted secret sauce, campfire onions and bread & butter pickles. Choice beef brisket cooked low and slow for 12 hours hand carved and finished on the flat top with a three-cheese blend (Oaxacan, American and Jack cheese)

With some days in the 70s and the next rainy and cold, I wanted to share some of my closet staples on what to wear in NYC so you’re prepared for whatever spring weather is thrown your way! From half zips to hoodies, it’s ideal for those cold mornings that turn into warm spring afternoons! My denim jacket is my go-to for spring but for more rainy days, a colorful rain jacket is always practical and chic. Casual with loungewear or fun with a dress, I love a white leather sneaker to stay comfortable and warm in all day!

I kept the party decor minimal with a simple silver colored theme and made the centerpiece a wall of printed out photos of our family over the past year. The hardest part of this collage wall is a tie between two tedious tasks: going through all of my photos over the past year and making an album of 250+ pictures to be printed out and putting scotch tape on every single one the day of the party. While the tech avenue of sharing photos has it’s own advantages, something about printed out photos really feel like a luxury, especially during such a special milestone. I purchased a happy birthday sign, some silver balloons, a silver back drop for behind Phoenix’s Lalo high chair (for when he smashes his cake!), and PHOENIX silver balloons.

I had such a great response of the black female influencers I shared last year so today, I’m excited to share some of my favorite Asian female influencers I follow on Instagram! I have been following Roxy for many years now as I first fell in love with her home brand, Society Social, after moving to NYC. I couldn’t find ANYTHING I wanted to buy for our upcoming Key West trip and was feeling so discouraged. But I also stepped out of my usual comfort zone and ordered this floral Free People maxi & shorter black denim dress from ASOS. I know my favorite amazon purchase from last year will be in heavy rotation this spring as well, but it really feels good to add some new pieces to my closet.
